The cheapest ones are okay but they don’t have all the features like world time, multiple alarms, and auto light. No, the GWG-1000 does not have a carbon fiber insert band. It really depends which features you want and which look you prefer, keep in mind the GPW-1000 is fully analog. Which watch would you consuder for world travel- Deserts, jungle treking, rafting etc.

What is your opinion on the GW7900B-1 with the negative display? My only concern is that due to its age/release date the sensors/technology will not be up to scratch compared to the same sensors/tech being released today. I’m a Surveyor I live upland but travel by sea, I work in difficult baby g shock and rough terrains, swamps and creeks. I need a quality and rough time piece with state of the art features. I’m stuck with the choice of Casio GWN Q1000-1A and GPW 1000-B. I love the offering of the sea features but missing the GPS feature on the Gravity master, please help.
The AWGM100B-1A might be more appropriate for you looks-wise but the countdown timer has a limit of 100 minutes . It is the style these days to wear big watches but with a 5″ wrist it might feel too big. You might want to look into the G-STEEL GST-S310-1A which is smaller and looks similar, but it does not have Bluetooth or Multi-Band 6. originally i wanted to purchase the GWG 1000 but the band with that metal metal strap keeper makes the fit not right on my wrist vs the GG 1000 fits much better. Yes for a large solar G-Shock that is a good choice and a lot more affordable than the Rangeman.
The watch, unlike the ones before it, supports Bluetooth connectivity and a pedometer. For other basic G-Shock functions, the notable ones are the timer and stopwatch functions which have been tweaked to fit the tastes of fitness enthusiasts. It’s more or less meant for large people, who want extra durability for their watches in the case of extra shocks and vibrations. Casio does this well enough to an extent that the GX-56BB is regarded as one of the toughest watches in the G-Shock collection. I have bought and sold G shock over the years and I currently own 5 models, four are analogue/digital and one is digital GW 9400). My common disappointment with all of them is the poor digital displays in both bright and dark lighting conditions.
