The Shock Over Casios New G

It’s the perfect bridge between my double life as a musician and watch enthusiast. When Casio approached me about the possibility of working together on a G-SHOCK, it actually timed out really well. I had already been pretty deep into wearing the “Mudmaster” models, and something felt cosmically right about a G-SHOCK being the first watch collab I’ve ever done. I’m not sure people would have expected a $180 watch with my name on it, but I think it’s really playful and inviting. The Casio G-SHOCK Ref. 6900 by John Mayer, a digital watch you know and love, designed by Mr. Mayer himself. ONE OF THE more seriously sought-after watches released last year was the $180 Casio G-Shock Ref. 6900 digital ticker made in collaboration with the musician John Mayer and the watch blog Hodinkee.

Using a triple protection design for the parts, module, and case, the Casio G SHOCK offered a radical new type of watch that was unaffected by strong impacts or shaking. Introducing the first-ever model in its premium Full Metal Series with a rose gold finish. The collection embraces a darker side of the green watch trend. Gold-ion plated steel bezels combined with clear semi-transparent resin bands for g shock protection the ultimate stylish and sleek timepiece. For many, the pandemic year jumbled the distinction between timepieces for work and weekend, letting prudent and practical watches occupy more wrist real estate. Mike DiAntonio, 28, an academic adviser in Boston who’s been working from home for around 11 months, straps on his down-to-earth G-Shock for work Zoom calls even if he otherwise dresses professionally.

All in all, the Bluetooth functions seemed well thought out and completely unobtrusive. Unlike the more elaborate wristtop computers we’ve been seeing lately, the GB–6900 is a humble G-Shock that just happens to be connected to your phone, and it doesn’t try to be anything more. The G-Shock watch is designed to have a battery life of 10 years.

GWN-Q1000 with depth sensor is also nice but is only sold in Japan now. If he’s going to the Navy keep in mind, that his watch has to look tough, so either square or oversized round case. The GA-135DD is a 35th Anniversary model with four real diamonds on the index and a special case back. The GAX-100 are large size but they are not that large compared to some other large G-Shock models. Hi i juat wanted to khow if the g9300 is like the size if the gd100. I have a gd350 with i really like but im curios if casio is planning to do it solar?

The AWGM100B-1A might be more appropriate for you looks-wise but the countdown timer has a limit of 100 minutes . It is the style these days to wear big watches but with a 5″ wrist it might feel too big. You might want to look into the G-STEEL GST-S310-1A which is smaller and looks similar, but it does not have Bluetooth or Multi-Band 6. originally i wanted to purchase the GWG 1000 but the band with that metal metal strap keeper makes the fit not right on my wrist vs the GG 1000 fits much better. Yes for a large solar G-Shock that is a good choice and a lot more affordable than the Rangeman.

They usually stay charged to the maximum without having to leave it in the sun or under bright light, at least for the all-digital models. If you’re not g shock protection going to wear it just leave it by a window and it should be okay. But I would say go with your first choice and then get your second choice later.

I think the GW7900B-1 is one of the best looking G-Shocks, but I recently bought a DW-5600BB-1 that has a reverse LCD display like the GW7900B-1 and I find it very difficult to read in low light. A lot of people have the same complaint about the reverse LCD displays on G-Shocks. There is also the GW ER which has a standard LCD display but for some reason it never got a U.S. release so it is more expensive to obtain. I think the Tough Solar and Multi-Band timekeeping features will always be useful.

It also has Tough Solar power, Multi-Band 6 radio wave timekeeping, and a sapphire crystal for extra scratch-resistance. When Ibe set the standards for this new tough watch, he developed what is known as the “Triple 10” philosophy. The watch had to be water-resistant to 10 bar , possess a 10-year battery life g shock protection and, of course, withstand a 10 meter drop. Note that the 10-year battery life is from the time the battery is fitted in the factory. If a G Shock has been sitting on the PX shelf for a few years, your mileage may vary. Of course, the “Triple 10” philosophy is a minimum standard and many G Shocks surpass it.
