Well, once I purchased the Bissell Crosswave last year, I quickly found out the answer – Yes! I discussed last year how the Crosswave worked beautifully on my floors and really made it easy to freshen up my space. We purchase our own vacuums and put them under the same test bench, so that you can compare the results easily.
Still, the lack of a power cord makes it noticeably easier to maneuver compared to the BISSELL CrossWave Pet Pro. The BISSELL CrossWave Cordless Max has some disadvantages in dealing with pet hair. It does a fantastic job of dealing with pet hair on bare floors, but you might need to make an extra pass to collect all of it on low-pile carpeting. Its brushroll is pretty tangle-prone, but thankfully you can remove it to clear away any stuck-on hair. Since you can’t configure it as a handheld vacuum, it isn’t suitable for cleaning pet hair from furniture.
Now we still have to vacuum and then use this as a very overpriced mop. I took a picture of the floor after several passes and I know it’s a little hard to see but this is just one tile and if dyson robot vacuum you zoom in you’ll see all the black dog hair. It doesn’t do well against floor boards or kitchen islands. Presumably the CrossWave Max gets its name from the wavy shape of its side profile.
INCLUDES two Multi-Surface Brush Rolls, 2 trial size bottles of the Hard Floor Sanitize formula, 2 trial size bottles of the Multi-Surface Cleaner Formula, and a 3-in-1 docking station. It takes some muscle to care it from room to room and upstairs, which kind of hinders dyson robot vacuum the beauty of how portable the vacuum is. If the self-cleaning feature wasn’t enough, the Bissel Crosswave Max has more to make it even more low maintenance. Let us know in the discussions if you come across another variant of this vacuum, and we’ll update our review.
The only issue you might have is that there are now detail tools, so you may still have to clean some areas by hand if you can’t physically get the CrossWave Cordless Max’s head into a spot. I just installed vinyl planks and the Crosswave is greatest product for my new floors. Ironically, cleaning the Bissell after use has more steps than using the vacuum to wipe up your floors. After the self-cleaning cycle, our editor had to disassemble the parts, wash by hand, and leave out to dry before assembling again. Vacuum and wash your floors at the same time with the cordless freedom of this BISSELL CrossWave Cordless MAX Floor and Carpet Cleaner with Wet-Dry Vacuum.
Not only does the CrossWave clean your floors, it can also clean itself! A self-cleaning cycle helps maintain the machine’s cleaning performance. Admittedly this multi-surface tool isn’t as easy to manoeuvre as a stick vacuum is – or even an upright vacuum.
The Bissell is the bees knees because the vacuuming and mopping can be completed simultaneously. It seems to leak a bit of the dirty water as it passes over the floor and gets collected and pools after Passover near my feet. Would be good if it also sucked while returning to feet. I usually steam clean and when I first used it I did a pass over with the crosswave and was stunned at how much more dirt there was left by the steam clean. The BISSELL CrossWave Cordless Max doesn’t come with any attachments per se, but it does come with a 3-in-1 docking station.
When I first got the Bissell Crosswave Cordless Max, I was still learning how to use the self-cleaning function. Some of my favorite parts include its two-in-one design, its self-cleaning feature, and of course, its carelessness. If you are looking to be talked into buying this vacuum, keep reading.
Whatever, it’s a strangely attractive thing – for a mop. The BISSELL CrossWave Cordless Max 2554 and Dyson Omni-glide are differently-designed vacuums with differing intended use cases, though they’re both meant for cleaning bare floors. The Dyson is a uniquely-designed stick vacuum with a rotating twin-brushroll head.
No reaching for a mop and bucket, no dollops of elbow grease to release sticky substances. When you’ve finished, clip the unit into the awkward cleaning base interface, tap the clean button and watch in awe as the roller brush turns from filthy brown to a lighter shade of clean. The clean tank dispenses water and solution mixture with a pull of a trigger, while dirty water is removed from floors and stored in a separate dirty water tank. The biggest issue with this Bissell CrossWave is its abysmal, 30-minute battery life. During that time, the cleaning solution goes from hot to cold, making the next usage cycle less optimal in cleaning effectiveness. As such, you have to prioritize which areas you want this appliance to clean and which remaining places to manually vacuum/sweep and mop.
