We weighted saw performance at 35% of our total score. We timed five cuts per model in order to get an average cutting speed for each one. The Greenworks Pro 80V showed fantastic results during this assessment — we measured an average time of 5.3 seconds per cut. Without intending, I was able to put this mower through a great test right out of the box, after having missed a couple weeks of cutting prior to that.
The innovative 3-In-1 design allows you to mulch, rear-bag or side-discharge grass clippings. Compared to the most expensive models, the 80V is absolutely affordable. A single nut holds each of the 23.75-inch cutting blades in place underneath the steel deck. Like the commercial version, the Greenworks Pro 60V 25-inch self-propelled lawn mower overlaps the blades to cover a full 23.75” cutting width.
This unit offers a 16″ wide cut path which helps reduce your cutting time by as much as 15%. After connecting the perimeter wire and the AC plug to the base station, I downloaded the app and created an account. I tapped Add a Device, selected Robotic Mower, and was informed that the mower needed to be charged for at least two hours before continuing in order for firmware updates to take place. Once the Optimow was charged, I tapped the Pair button and the mower was immediately discovered and added to the app. I gave it a name and the installation was complete.
However, it does seem to “bog” down a bit easier as some of those though. It’s important to keep your self propelled lawn mower clean, especially from the inside. Look for a mower that has a wash-out port on the deck.
The Greenworks Pro moves 500 cubic feet of air per minute which makes it one of the most powerful electric leaf blowers on the market. We found it was able to easily move small sticks, pine cones, and even wet piles of leaves. It was also much quieter than other models we’ve used. For chainsaws with an active chain brake, please ensure that it has not been accidentally engaged. If it has, simply pull it towards you and try starting the saw again. If the saw still won’t start or your saw doesn’t have an active chain brake, please make sure that the battery is fully charged and has been properly engaged in the saw prior to starting.
Pull through the handle holes to fold away the handles. Positioner for blade A only; positioner for blade B only. Mounting nuts and spacers of blade A are interchangeable with that of blade B. Do not let brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-based materials touch the plastic parts. Chemicals can cause damage to the plastic, and make the plastic unserviceable. Remove grass clippings, leaves, dirt, and other debris.
A panel on the top of the mower contains a cutting height dial, start and stop levers, and four status LEDs, but that’s all you get in the way of onboard controls. The Operating LED glows solid green when the mower is in operating mode , and is dark when the mower is stopped, if the safety key has been removed, or if the mower is waiting for a PIN number entry. The greenworks pro Connectivity LED flashes blue when the mower is trying to connect to the internet, glows solid blue when it’s connected, and is dark when the mower is powered down. The Security LED flashes yellow when a PIN code is required, and the Error LED flashes red when the mower has been stopped due to an error such as a break in the wire or when the mower has been lifted.
Of course, that extra weight does have its downsides. The mower is a lot more difficult to lift and transport than its plastic cousins, and you have to expend more energy to push it around, too. There is a self-propelling option onboard the mower to make things a little easier (we’ll talk more about this a little later). We could see the Greenworks Pro being a great option for those with decks and outdoor furniture. Having no cord to get tangled up on would make that sort of clean-up a lot easier. We also think it’d be great for someone with a patio or porch that needs frequent sweeping.
Greenworks is tossing its hat into the battery-powered zero-turn ring. We initially saw prototypes for the Greenworks Pro 60V zero-turn lawn mower and its lawn tractor cousin a couple of years ago. Now we have a final production model to test and we’re excited to see how it’s all come together. The new Greenworks Pro 60V string trimmer is lightweight and powerful.
