Greenworks Pro 21

That experience trickles down to the development of the homeowner-focused 42-inch model. There are some trade-offs to consider compared to other options, but our overall impression of the greenworks pro 60V CrossoverZ Zero-Turn Lawn Mower is that it’s a success. This Greenworks trimmer gives you the right balance of finesse and power required in your landscaping and lawn maintenance projects. First up, let me just say that this review of the Greenworks Pro 21 has nothing to do with Apple products or services — or any related third party products or services. However, with many folks working from home due to the COVID-19 pandemic and with growing concern about protecting our environment, it seems timely. The Optimow 50H did a fantastic job of keeping my entire lawn evenly trimmed.

The sun joe lawn mower moves 500 cubic feet of air per minute which makes it one of the most powerful electric leaf blowers on the market. We found it was able to easily move small sticks, pine cones, and even wet piles of leaves. It was also much quieter than other models we’ve used. For chainsaws with an active chain brake, please ensure that it has not been accidentally engaged. If it has, simply pull it towards you and try starting the saw again. If the saw still won’t start or your saw doesn’t have an active chain brake, please make sure that the battery is fully charged and has been properly engaged in the saw prior to starting.

It indicates which battery pack the mower currently draws from, and how much power each battery has at any given time. A fully depleted battery needs about 30 minutes to full recharge. Tap the Position button at the bottom of the screen to see where the mower is and where it’s been on a satellite map. There’s also a Frost Guard setting that monitors the current temperature and will delay the work cycle if there’s a risk of frost. In this mode you’ll have to physically pull the mower out of the charging station and push it back in to restart everything. Designed for lawns of up to half an acre, the Optimow 50H measures 12.2 by 20.0 by 25.0 inches , weighs 26.4 pounds, and has an IPX5 water-resistance rating that means you can wash it off with a hose.

We weighted saw performance at 35% of our total score. We timed five cuts per model in order to get an average cutting speed for each one. The Greenworks Pro 80V showed fantastic results during this assessment — we measured an average time of 5.3 seconds per cut. Without intending, I was able to put this mower through a great test right out of the box, after having missed a couple weeks of cutting prior to that.

That said, it lacks the onboard controls and Wi-Fi connectivity that you get with our Editors’ Choice winner, the $999 Worx Landroid M 20V Cordless Robotic Lawn Mower . I got a greenworks pro 60 volt, 16 inch battery powered chainsaw. This chainsaw and yellow pine were meant for each other. With one charge I can cut 4 pine trees with an 8 inch diameter, 5 cuts in the trunk and limbs off, plus about 10 pines smaller that 3 inch trunks. I’ll cut until the battery is dead and use the logs for garden beds and burn or compost the rest. Let it cool for half an hour and an hour or two to charge.

You also don’t need to fiddle with complicated on/off switches or dials as the blades shut off automatically. The cutting blade continues to rotate for a few seconds after the motor is shut off. Never perform these functions until you are sure the blade has stopped rotating. If you’re in the market for a professional-grade cordless chainsaw, we recommend the Greenworks Pro 80V. This saw cuts like a dream and it has a commendable runtime. Most of all, it has an insanely quick battery recharge time, meaning that you can spend less time watching the battery meter and more time getting your job done.

Of course, that extra weight does have its downsides. The mower is a lot more difficult to lift and transport than its plastic cousins, and you have to expend more energy to push it around, too. There is a self-propelling option onboard the mower to make things a little easier (we’ll talk more about this a little later). We could see the Greenworks Pro being a great option for those with decks and outdoor furniture. Having no cord to get tangled up on would make that sort of clean-up a lot easier. We also think it’d be great for someone with a patio or porch that needs frequent sweeping.

You can operate the mower just fine without the app, but for the complete experience, there are some added features. Start by scanning the QR code on your quick start guide, download the app, create an account if you don’t already have one, and pair the mower using the serial number and pairing code. It sounds more complicated than it is and takes less than 10 minutes to get started. There’s a step-by-step guide in the manual if you need more details.

“With the ‘Try Before You Buy Event,’ we are excited to offer customers an opportunity to experience this innovative equipment in person. I think they will quickly realize the financial and environmental benefits of battery-powered tools, particularly as the price of gas continues to rise.” The ease of use with the controls of the saw was a pleasant surprise. There is no additional on/off switch or mode selector. Simply insert a battery, pull the chain brake towards the rear of the saw, press the safety catch lever, then pull the trigger and start cutting. It is a very intuitive process and reminds me of using a traditional gas powered saw.
