4k ultra meanwhile is basically out of the question, with Forza Horizon 4 being the best result at 45fps. Battlefield 5 and Strange Brigade land right near 30fps, and everything else is in the 20s or lower. The GTX 1660 Super slots in at $230 and there’s also the 1650 Super coming next month, no word on pricing yet. We should note that both Gigabyte and ASUS have an array of GeForce GTX 1660 Super cards coming down the pipeline, with varied designs and clock speeds. However it’s not clear just what to expect from the cards in terms of performance, especially as AMD has been framing it relative to NVIDIA’s lower-end GTX 1650. So while at face value, the Super seems like an NVIDIA counter to AMD’s impending launch, outside of the AMD and NVIDIA testing labs, it’s remains to be seen where things end up.
Factory overclocked items and stock items currently function equally, so overclocked items no longer boast the superiority they did in past generations. The former sells for between $280 and $320, while the latter gtx 1090 starts at $230, with the most expensive versions priced at around $270. The standard 1660 is the most affordable with a starting price of $220, but as you’ll see below, that’s a hard sell considering how far it falls behind the competitively priced Super version. When we first saw the specifications for the GTX 1660 Super, we didn’t know what to make of it.
