Intex Swimming Pool Review

Having to pay an electrician on a yearly basis raises the cost considerably. I did the shock yesterday and the blue floor now is lost. We did have to spend a bit of time scooping sticks and larger clumps of debris out of the bottom of the pool and removing any leftover particles from the filter, but that was to be expected.

Once the ground is leveled, it is wise to lay a weed-preventing cloth over the dirt. This will prevent any grass from growing into the pool liner. Some types of grass (specifically, St. Augustine and Bermuda) have been known to puncture the pool liners of Intex pools. The Easy Set pools come in sizes ranging from 8′ across x 30″ deep to a rather large 18′ across x 48″ deep. These pools require an absolutely level surface prior to set up, or the pool may collapse and cause injury or property damage. The Easy-Set pools may also fail due to a puncture of the top inflatable ring.

Even with five or six kids in the water, there was still plenty room for them to stretch out and float without taking an accidental elbow to the nose. If we decide to take down our Intex pool before summer’s end I can pretty much predict that this will be the number one reason why. It has been stressful having small children around a pool that cannot be outfitted with the same safety measures that a more permanent pool can benefit from. I had considered this from the beginning, but one I didn’t fully absorb it until I saw how excited my youngest was to get into the pool whether we were near him or not.

And when a nasty storm blew through with winds as high as 50 mph, I held my breath waiting for my beloved pool to collapse; but it didn’t. In fact it’s so sturdy that when I noticed I had erected it with one of the legs a little bit angled, I couldn’t physically move it once the pool was filled. Lastly, what better and more stylish way to carry all new faves than the Kanya Bea Large Knot Bag? It’s 100 percent handcrafted so it’s unique with a refined Filipino style, delicate and minimalist in its approach, and went through an eco-friendly artisanal process.

However, my husband did not share in my joy as he was fully convinced that assembling it would be a weekend-long project that would end with me in tears and him in frustration. According to everything I have read the Intex frame pool will collapse no matter you do. Everything I read says the ground has to PERFECTLY level or it will collapse. So in other words If you buy one it is going to collapse sooner or later anyways.

The sizes of the two pools are comparable; the Summer Waves pool is only 3 inches deeper. At under $200, this above-ground pool is a steal, and it can often be found at a discount. The construction is solid, and the pump system works like a charm to combat the dirt, grime, and gunk that comes with having kids jump in and out of a pool. The flat surface we found intex purespa in our yard was pretty far from the side of our house, but we were able to connect the pool pump to a power source via an extension cord. As for water, we had to run a hose from a spigot on a second-story patio down to the pool. It took between six and eight hours to fill the pool to the fill line, which is about 90 percent of the 1,718-gallon capacity.

Once that was done, we simply snapped together the hard plastic support pieces of the frame with the metal ones and secured it with the thick band to give the framework a little bit of extra security against rambunctious kids. The paper instructions were plenty sufficient to get the job done, and it took less than half an hour from start to finish. We let a line of rambunctious kids hop in and out and back in again, day after day. In order to get the main part of the frame built, we had to pin the side supports in the corners and then pin the beams, which only works if you have one person pinning while the other person is holding the pieces in place on the opposite end.
