Its flavor is strong and polarizing because it is a highly acidic tobacco. Perique can be traced back to the Choctaw Indians in the mid-1700s who inhabited what is now Louisiana. The Choctaws taught French colonist Pierre Chenet the technique of making Perique who passed it onto the Cajuns. Bourbon Whiskey blend is enhanced by the finest Kentucky Bourbon whiskey, traditionally matured for over 8 years. I personally would not decant anything in a tin as for my tastes, I love a well aged tin. However, it s a mild Burley blend with some slight traces of our Peaches and Cream.

I highly recommend starting with a rubbed out flake tobacco as they’re the easiest to work with out of the tin. Also referred to as Turkish tobacco, Oriental tobaccos are spicy and prominently nutty with a nice oiliness and a sweet, yet sour flavor. Even though Latakia is technically an Oriental, the average Oriental brands try to label each separately due to their different profiles.
