Admittedly my first shave was not all that great, which lead me to read up on proper shaving technique. During shaving, only the remaining battery and shaving speed indicators are visible. While I am waiting for the battery to charge I will take you through what each indicator means. No fiddling around with buttons or levers to free the head. The retaining ring system is by far my least favorite thing about this shaver.
But when you consider how many razors and bottles of shaving cream you buy in a year, plus the convenience factor, you may determine that the price is worth it. There is a three level Braun Series 5 battery indicator, or LED display on the front of the shaver so you’ll always know how much power you have left. It has V-Track Precision Blades and Contour Detect Technology.
While it may not be anything out of the ordinary and may not be as powerful as traditional shavers, this rugged, ergonomically designed unit promises to please its users. It comes with a full two-year warranty and a trial period of 45 days, which are excellent additions that will attract buyers. Another shortcoming you might want to keep in mind is the fact that it can’t operate while it’s plugged in. The Philips Norelco 7100 is another one of Philips’ high-end gems. It is packed with top-notch features that offer unmatched performance.
I am often trekking or hiking for a week or more, with no access to electricity to recharge my phone, that I use for its mapping application. I used to have a couple spare batteries, much lighter than carrying around a power bank. And safer, as I knew exactly what power I had left, just counting the remaining batteries. What I imagine will happen is that the back of the phone will probably be a single unit containing the battery, wireless charger, and probably a few other things like the USB connector.
At first glance, the biggest difference between the Series 9 and the Series 7 is size. The Series 9 is longer, has more girth, and is more top-heavy, all due to its quadruple-headed shaving mechanism. While the Series 7 is powerful enough for most shaving situations, Braun’s Series 9 is the top-performing shaver we’ve tried that we find worth the additional expense—at least for certain situations. If you have particularly curly or coarse hair, or if you wish to shave less frequently but achieve the same level of closeness, this may be the shaver for you.
I like nothing more than an easy-to-use, no-fuss-no-muss product that can cut down my grooming time. I was still stuck on the pre-shave, shaving cream, razor, aftershave hamster wheel and couldn’t seem to get off. No matter what I did, and no matter what product I tried, I couldn’t seem to get rid of them. It is, of course, quite pricey, but it’s worth noting that this is Braun’s top-of-the-line model, made in Germany and packed with features like an automatic self-cleaning base. One-touch open for easy cleaning Experience a convenient clean shave with heads that flex and float in 4 directions.
And while I do respect Panasonic, to me the Big Battle is a fierce competition between Braun and Norelco. A rivalry that’s given the world quite a few outstanding products for us gentlemen’s grooming habits. When an item you want is out-of-stock at the Remington Shaver store, your shopper will follow your replacement preferences. Philips began co-branding their shavers “Philips Norelco” in 2005 to improve Philips’ brand recognition in the United States, a first step towards an intended phase out of the Norelco name.
