Casio Casio G

(Other GA-2100 models would be better suited for nighttime use than the GA A1.) For me, the GA-2100 could never be my only watch, but I’m happy to have it as part of my small collection. The use of the Carbon Core Guard structure allows the GA-2100 to be the slimmest G-Shock of all current models. The height and width of the watch is considered mid-size, rather than the large size of most analog G-Shock watches, and the watch wears very light and comfortably. The GA-2100 is currently the lightest analog-digital G-Shock model at 51 grams. Though the display is larger than a DW-5600, it wears very similarly, and I like to think of it as an analog-digital version of the DW-5600, but with a few more features. Good looking minimalist appearance, very light on the wrist.

This does not affect any other functions of the watch, like alarms, timers, reminders. These alarms uses an acoustic signal to remind you of repeating events. You can also activate a sound that marks the hour. This model has five independent alarms that provide flexible reminding. A so called shock resistant construction protects the watch against shocks and vibrations. Both the digital and the analog part of the dial/screen becomes illuminated when you activate illumination.

The Jinshu case and bracelet here is unapologetically based around the look of the Royal Oak from Audemars Piguet, which suits the original shape of the GA-2100 very, very well. Still, in obviously increased dimensions somewhat so this does wear more significant on the wrist. Spend any time in the vast world of Casio G-SHOCK, and you will uncover a vast community modifying these watches in all sorts of ways. Coloured screens, dial painting, full custom artwork, you name it, someone has probably done it and some with nothing short of spectacular results!

I don’t travel often but the ease with which you can change time zones with just a few button presses makes this feature great for frequent travelers. The CasiOak lists the cities in those time zones g shock watch as you scroll through them, taking the guesswork out of the process. I will admit that watching the hands spin around the dial as you change to a new time zone is also immensely satisfying.

The G-2100’s water resistance is rated to 200 meters. Casio’s traditional four-screw stainless steel caseback is engraved with the Carbon Core Guard logo. Should Casio introduce other colors, you’ll be able g shock protection to mix and match the straps. I have small hands and a relatively narrow 6.5” wrist – not the best place to put a large, chunky watch. And then the G-SHOCK GA-2100 series caught my eye – and fit my wrist.

It gives a good feel on hands, and not like the other G-shock’s that feel bulky on hands. The strap is really of high-quality rubber and it gives a premium look. With g shock protection a push of a button, hands are moving and permit a free visibility of functions like stopwatch or date. Greg is a long-time watch lover based in upstate New York.

Digital readouts are small and the illumination duration could be longer but overall a good buy. Takes some to work out how all the features can be tweaked but it is pretty easy to synchronise accurately to the time signal. Lume on the hour indexes would be helpful too but a minor point. This combination allows you to create a more compact and lightweight unit. The watch features a combined analog and digital dial that displays the date, day of the week, stopwatch, alarm and many other features you can use for sports and leisure.

Unfortunately, most of the affordable analog G-Shock watches do not have the seconds hand, but the more expensive ones do. Casio Mudmaster is an accurate and bullet proof watch. The GA-2100SU-1A with camo bezel and the green and black GA-2110SU-3A are new releases in the U.S. and are available at several retailers.
