Although many of DeWalt’s drills have a built-in light, this model does not. Milwaukee’s comes with only one 18V battery, a battery charger, and a plastic carrying case. Milwaukee’s drill is slightly smaller at 6.5 inches long and 3.4 pounds, including the battery, compared to DeWalt’s drill, which is 7.5 inches long and 6.75 pounds. In general, you need more dewalt tools torque when drilling into dense materials and less torque when driving into softer materials like wood. This 12-volt Bosch couldn’t drill as many 1-inch holes on a single charge as the DeWalt in our tests, but it still has more than enough power for general home tasks.
