The battery charger can charge both the controller and the drone’s battery at the same time, which is a convenient feature. The batteries on the controller and the Phantom 4 take around 90 minutes to charge. If you’re planning any extended drone usage, I’d definitely advise investing in a couple of extra ‘Intelligent Flight’ batteries. In the end, I think the somewhat limited autonomous flight features are probably a good thing. P, or positioning mode, works best with a strong GPS signal and uses GPS, the vision system, and the infrared sensing system to keep the craft stable, avoid obstacles, and track subjects.
