Casio

They both have the Triple Sensor Version 3, so the sensor performance should be equal. The Rangeman is tougher, and water-resistant to 200 meters versus 100 meters for the PRW-6100. If you want a very tough watch with the Triple Sensor I would go with the Rangeman, Gulfmaster GWN-1000, or Mudmaster GWG-1000. I think any G-Shock watch is suitable for extreme travel and will be fine in the mud and sand. Officially the current mud-resistant models are the G-9000 and GW-9010 Mudman, G-9300 and GW-9300 Mudman, GW-9400 Rangeman, GWG-1000 Mudmaster, GG-1000 Mudmaster, as well as the GX-56 and GXW-56.

Rock the purple and green colorway for mad retro-90s style. These watches are pushing 80s style into modern proportions like a trunk-pumpin’ remix of DeBarge. Yes, they’re incredibly capable and tough watches, but that’s not quite the point of these bad boys…well, unless you’re going to do a headspin on a piece of cardboard in it.

Wear OS means there’s Google Assistant and Google Fit support, and you can download apps from Google Play. The watchmaker has been releasing devices using Google’s smartwatch OS since 2016, when it released the Android Wear-powered Casio Smart Outdoor Watch. But this is the first time Google’s software has appeared on a G-Shock watch.

I’ve never had a real watch, something good and which i’ll care, so this will be my very first one and g shock. I wonder if g shock protection it’s worth for the price as i need a long life watch. I’m willing to change battery as long as it’s rechargeable as well.

At just $110 USD, it is no wonder why this G-Shock design felt so irresistible to watch lovers. Since 1983, G-SHOCK has been setting the standard in toughness. Shock-resistant construction that stands up to dropping and other rough treatment plus 200-meter plus water resistance. Casio released the G-Shock in April 1983, to fill the demand for durable watches. Sales were sluggish in Japan as people preferred dress watches.

Hmm, well my wrist is 6.5″ and the original G-STEEL fits okay (I don’t have one but tried it on at the store). I think it will probably fit but what’s most important is if you are comfortable wearing a big watch. Still pondering on whether I get it, or get my other preference, a GW7900B-1 which is not a bad package for the price! The new Frogman is probably worth the price considering its features although for a non-analog G with the only differences being the materials, depth sensor, compass and thermo it is hard to justify.

This is one of a few dedicated Pilots Watches from the G-Shock line, and it proves itself with bulletproof construction, killer high-tech looks, and unmatched accuracy across all the world’s time zones. Quite similar to the above watches, these lack the big G on the bottom and, thus, have a more retro-look to them. Your choice of colorways will dictate how loud or subtle the watch is. These are nearly identical in appearance to many other models, but offer specific protection for extreme cold. The icy blue colorway is a standout, given its intended sub-zero use. The textile and leather strap ads a little variation for the obsessive collector.

G-Shock watches were designed for athletes, military personnel, and others who enjoy the great outdoors. However, you don’t need a busy lifestyle to enjoy the benefits of this watch made to resist damage from vibrations and mechanical shock. The GSW-H1000, part of the rugged G-Squad line of watches, has an optical g shock protection sensor to measure heart rate, as well as an accelerometer, gyrometer, GPS and a sensor to measure altitude and air pressure. In addition, it comes with a microphone and a charging terminal, and is powered by Google’s Wear OS. Nice watches at affordable price and high durability with loads of features.

Jewelry Unlimited has no intention of violating an intellectual property or trademark laws. It’s tough too, as you’d expect from a G-Shock watch, with a titanium case back and titanium carbide finish to prevent scuffs and corrosion. It’s water resistant to 200m , which makes it suitable for not only swimming, but also water sports like surfing. On-board GPS, a compass, altimeter, gyroscope and accelerometer are all accounted for, alongside an optical heart rate sensor. The screen has an interesting hybrid design, with a classic G-Shock style monochrome layer, plus a color layer for displaying workout and app info. Just as rumors have been floating about a possible rugged Apple Watch, Casio has unveiled its first G-Shock rugged smartwatch using Google’s Wear OS platform.

For those looking for a more formal-looking G-Shock with a stainless steel bezel and band, but want to stay in the affordable realm, the GST-B300SD-1A is the natural choice. This is the first G-STEEL with a front-facing LED light button, and unlike many other analog-digital models, the LCD display is backlit so the g shock watch entire background is illuminated . This mid-size watch is also solar-powered and can automatically adjust the time through a Bluetooth-connected smartphone, for maintenance-free operation. Solar should be okay indoors, especially if it’s an all-digital model. The watch can be charged from indoor fluorescent lights.
