Its a rugged compact watch which had everything we needed at the time. However, with the advances of military technology and the changing facets of modern warfare more g shock protection units are begging to issue out the iconic GW Rangeman. Great watches which are dependable and extremely utilitarian in nature; a perfect fit for military life.
The main display hands are large and easy to read quickly, and the digital display is excellent for stopwatch and timer functionality. One surprisingly nice feature is the quick shortcut to make the two analog hands move upward and away from the digital display, so you can clearly see it when using the stopwatch and timer functions. Overall, the watch has a comfortable feel and great look – it’s not too thick or large in radius, and I don’t have difficulty wearing it with a long-sleeved garment. Finally, the night-lighting is well-done – both the analog and digital displays are very readable (which is not the case with many “negative-display” digital watches).
