Coming from an i7-6700K to the 3900x yes it is indeed a lot faster but only for importing/exporting and to be honest I was expecting more power, but the problem is NOT the CPU, the software is the bottleneck. Seeing as the 5900x has also the best price to performance ratio of the current amd 5xxx lineup, the choice is pretty obvious . Because of it´s exceptional value it is unfortunately also the CPU that is the hardest to get, it´s demand is just really high. IMO the upgrade is only worth considering if you also go with a higher core count CPU. Otherwise there isn´t a big enough performance jump to make it worth your money.

The Wraith Prism cooled our review unit effectively during our CB R15 Multi 64Bit loop, with our test system finishing around 10 points shy of its original score. The scores fluctuated between 2,056 and 2,091 points during our loop, but this is not overly concerning. The Ryzen X averaged 2,075 points, which is less than 20 points from its best score of 2,092. For streaming and gaming it would be a close one, because the 3700x has more cores and threads it will be better for streaming by a small amount but the 5600x will be a little better at gaming. The 3700x is more expensive by $30 so the 5600x would be what I would choose. For gaming and streaming, does the fact that the 3700X has 2 more cores make it the better deal, or does the fact that the 5600X have better single-core performance make it better?
