To make a long story short, remove the circuit breaker switch and go online and order a new one. Luckily my brother had the same problem and had a spare and I’m up and running with no problem. On the back of the unit is where the chip extractor is located. This did a great job taking the waste away from inside the machine and ejecting it out this port on the back. This system uses a fan assisted ejection system for removal. In fact when we were done, pretty much the whole lawn was purple as we didn’t have it hooked up to a vacuum system.

The first is to cut the project boards a few inches long so that the snipe occurs on the excess sections of wood. Theoretically, the way to fix this is to perfectly level the infeed and outfeed tables. As near as I can tell, I have, but some snipe remains. It’s not so bad that I can’t hide it with sanding, but it is enough to be a problem in more precision work.
Using the knob on the right hand side of the unit, you can always go higher, but never lower than 1/2″. You have to remove the dust collection hood and then take part of the back off. The biggest issue I had was getting everything back together again.
These planers are an excellent option for small home woodshops and contractors that need a portable option. While not big and powerful as full size shop thickness planers, benchtop thickness planers are still very capable of effectively dewalt tools planing a wide range of wood products. Thickness planers allow users to purchase a wider range of raw wood materials and mill the wood to the exact dimensions needed for a project. This is the cutterhead of a benchtop thickness planer.
