Intex Inflatable Hot Tubs

The spa also features an LED light for nighttime use, and the pump can heat water up to 104F. Intex includes two free inflatable pillows that clip onto the sides of the tub as well. As the brand promises, they are mostly focused on the items you need for quality family time. They make everything from above intex baby float ground pools, boats, toys, spas, airbeds, and many others. The company has been part of a family of companies that have been in business for more than 40 years and surprised the market with its first above ground swimming pool in 1997. Jets provide a massage experience and bubbling action in your hot tub.

Intex has a good reputation in producing durable inflatable hot tub, and so with this model. The Fiber Tech construction with sturdy 3-ply laminated material makes the tub not only durable but also comfortable to use, even if you sit on the side of the tub. If you need to order swimming pool equipment, parts or chemicals online then you should choose to buy from a specialist that deals exclusively with pool and spa products. InTheSwim.com would be my recommendation to pool owners looking to shop online for pool and spa supplies. Intex offers you the best way to enjoy an authentic hot tub experience at a fraction of the cost of traditional hot tub ownership. There’s plenty of other advantages of owning an Intex tub as well, especially the portability of the spa.

This tub doesn’t have as many jets as the PureSpa 28409E, but you’ll barely notice the difference. If you intend to host guests from time to time and want the luxury of having a spa in your back yard, then this model is a great choice. I think it’s the hoses they use to connect the far intake filter. When I warrantied my old tub I cut it open and there are 3 separate hoses that run from the far intake filter and they are rubbery.

This model comes complete with a hard water treatment system to prevent scaling and ensure simple maintenance. The Intex patented Fiber-Tech construction is guaranteed to provide a comfortable surface and durable rigid structure in use that prevents collapsed sides or sloshing over an unbalanced inflatable. The DIY setup is simple and quick, and the chlorine dispenser, test strips, and built-in hard water system mean simple maintenance. With 48 Fiber-Tech Beams to support the full and inflated structure, you can be sure you’ll have a relaxing soak without risk of collapsing the sides of your spa. This inflatable hot tub has a capacity of 240 gallons of water and the heating system provides a water temperature range up to 104 degrees of the ultimate jacuzzi spa system experience at your temperature preference.

I think the bacteria builds up in there and eats away at the hoses and the spits the stuff out. I made a pvc cap with a filter to screw on the end of the jet that puts water back in the tub so flakes don’t spit out. Would increasing calcium hardness help protect the heating element and prevent flaking. I know my CH needs to be a certain level in the pool to protect my pool heat exchanger. Is there something in my water balance that I can do to stop these flakes from getting in the hot tub?

I strongly endorse the use of Basecrete products to all concrete pool owners. A hot tub is a luxury purchase that all Americans wish they could afford. However, spending $15,000 or more on a hot tub for your patio or yard is not a pragmatic financial decision in this economy.

You will also likely experience an oily film that sits on top of the water as well as the potential for poor smelling water. Since the filters are so small in these you should adopt a proactive maintenance plan and replace your filters at the first sign of them becoming dirty. In the next video I will show you a way to make your filters last twice as long between cleanings without compromising the quality of your water.

In plumbing systems water will always follow the path of least resistance. In an Intex spa the filtration pump and heater are both located in the external pack that attaches to the side of the spa. This is directly adjacent to one of the main drains (and the light/return unit). Since one main drain is close to the pump, while the other is located much further away you will notice that the filter close to the pump collects the vast majority of the debris in your water.
