The Carbon

The smartphone connection allows for other features as well, some more useful than others depending on the wearer’s needs. A new feature for 2019 is the use of a plastic resin case reinforced with carbon fiber, which replaces the plastic-only structure of many existing models. The brand is calling this type of case “Carbon Core Guard,” and the idea is that it will keep watches as light as those fully made of plastic and possibly even more resilient.

That is also true given the limited space available for light to enter a subdial photovoltaic cell that would recharge a light-powered watch. The step-counter functionality is the latest g shock watch sensor to be integrated into a G-Shock watch. While you don’t ever need to use it, those who want their G-Shock to now also serve as a pedometer have a solution in a non-smartwatch.

With that said, it is a rather large watch, as to be expected from a watch made for the outdoors. Obviously, this isn’t a watch that you wear with your suit, and it is also relatively heavy compared to many other G-Shocks, weighing in at about 120 grams. It supports 29 time zones, plus radio wave reception for the most accurate time possible. (Pocket-lint) – Casio has announced a G-Shock watch in its Master of G series that could very well be its most extreme yet. The hands on the dial have significant all black counter sections that actually block the hands when they pass over each other.

G-Shock watches are well-built, durable, and stylish in a do-everything, take-no-prisoners, vintage kind of way. The Casio G-Shock Mudmaster line is a great example of what the sub brand is capable of, and their latest, the Casio G-Shock Mudmaster GGB100 Watch, more than lives up to the name. High-quality, carbon composite monocoque inner structure designed and engineered to withstand land, sea and air.

It provides simple, useful activity tracking through a well-designed and reliable app, while making its more complex features easier to activate and use. This watch has sooo many features and it fits just like my other watch, just note that this watch is big. Fantastic watch, as usual Casio G Shock have made another great watch full of features. We finished with a conversation of comparison between the watch community and the local biking community. We talked about how the watch, or the bike, is not only a tool for our passion, but also gives us a sense of pride, brings us together, or even carries the souls of us for many years to come.

The watch features a very bright illumination technology „Super-Illuminator” as Casio calls it, that can be activated with the touch of a button. The luminous coating on the hands and hour markers are very bright and will offer great readiness even in very dark environments. In addition to its Mud Resistant structure, the timepiece is equipped with Triple Sensor capabilities, allowing for reading of altitude/barometric pressure, temperature, and direction. Accurate timekeeping is made possible through Multi-Band 6 technology.

Going back to the dial, legibility is excellent for an analog Casio watch. Casio’s work on contrast as a concept on analog dials is getting better and better each year, and the brand is still producing designs that are visually engaging and detailed. I do, however, want to see Casio work with better luminant in the future. They probably don’t put too much stock in it since this and all other G-Shock watches have a bright white LED backlight for the dial.
