It will create an aura of old man though. I’m thinking 50+ with a limp and a beer belly. Definitely clean shaven, maybe a mustache. I mean, I do like it and will probably buy a bottle, but I have a few years before I get there.
It is a powerful antidote to watery, fresh scents; wholly masculine with a unique register of notes. I get the juniper berry, the pine, Polo Ralph Lauren t shirt basil & artemisa, all of which make this very dark, green, and herbal. The other spices and notes are blended together beautifully.
I tried the new version of the original, which is needless to say, very very different. Fresh, earthy, spicy scent wrapped in dried tobacco leaves created for the MAN of the 70’s and 80’s, I used to wear more in cooler summer days. Whenever I get a new green juice scent first thing comes to mind is this Polo green. Don’t listen to the reviewers harping on and on about how superior previous versions are .
It made me want more out of my life. 30 years later and I’m still chasing that feeling I get when I think of the old Ralph Lauren stores, the ads, Ralph’s homes, etc. I would take this bottle with me to my grave and bury me with it.
I just adored it, it made me feel rich and powerful. I liked it so much I even wore it to bed. Mind blowing good, everyone wore it and the ladies liked it too. Besides it still polo dress shirts holding my number one spot for classic male frags, this bottle remains undefeated. Simple, dignified, and to the point. This bottle and scent helped shape me as a man.
