This is a good meat grinder but you would think that being that you are grinding meat that all parts would be dishwasher safe. Unfortunately I assumed that before reading the booklet entry on cleaning. The cuisinart pots and pans set metal parts are NOT dishwasher safe and will tarnish if not hand washed. I would rather pay a little more and have parts that can be placed in the dishwasher. Why did I not buy this meat grinder years ago.
