However, I was still able to see it as the blade approached the material. I’m going to withhold judgement on whether or not I like this better than lasers until I’ve had the chance to use it more. But the Dewalt 780 mounted on a Dewalt support stand has immediately taken over from my Makita. It is accurate, quiet and feels like a leap into the future.
Aside from over 2k people loving this product, there’s also brand loyalty to the Dewalt name. Dewalt is known for high-quality products, and this miter saw only adds to their legacy. Technically speaking, sometimes it’s their other products’ rave reviews that lead to the credence dewalt tools of purchasing this miter saw. If their table saw is so well-received, then chances are their other saws are going to be useful . In summary, if you’re looking for an accurate, durable and smooth cutting saw with ample power for thick wood, this is a saw worth considering.
Even if a lower grade, how can the price be 100% more? I mean, good vs best bearings are maybe a $1-$2 more. And to offer more detents on the base for mouldings… that can’t justify that cost difference.
Its availability at an affordable price makes it popular among the professionals. More of a safety issue to me is not using proper work supports, dewalt tools if you have that you’re golden for 99% of cuts. Dont fall for the pretty yellow and black colors, this does not make the tool!
