Ran 10 cycles of water through this machine before I began using it to get rid of the plastic taste. Using the scoop provided with the coffeemaker, the coffee was way too strong! If you have a grind & brew unit, a beeping may be a signal that you need to lift the coffee bean basket and brush away any grounds that have accumulated before brewing a fresh pot. If the machine beeps as soon as you turn it on, check to be sure you have cleaned out the basket of old grounds before brewing. Check to make sure the coffee pot lid and the basket lid, if there is one, are in place. Be sure there are enough beans in the hopper for an automatic grind & brew unit. Once you have cleared the error, the machine should stop beeping. All of these options are available in neutrals like black and chrome, but some of them give you statement-making color options like bright red and sky blue, too.
Our only gripe is that it can be difficult to fill the tank with water without splashing. It’s available in black or white, as well as in a smaller, 10-cup model.
