The Menards sales person told me when I asked if it was on display that they had do not display orders on that saw, probably because it was a one time buy. Also, I don’t plan on transporting it so I’m not concerned about that.

You could try adjusting your fence so it’s in line with the blade. Some sort of indeed table or rollers could be helpful.
