It looks like these saws are really gaining popularity over in Europe, and I bet many of you wish these saws would make their way to the States, but are they really worth it?

However, I was still able to see it as the blade approached the material. I’m going to withhold judgement on whether or not I like this better than lasers until I’ve had the chance to use it more. The fact that no calibration is required is a huge plus though. I first took the DeWalt 20V Max miter saw to the original run time material – untreated 2 x 4 pine. You never get a second chance to make a first impression, and DeWalt made a good one. Cutting through that first piece of pine was an indication of good things to come.

You need to unlock it when applying the saw for any object. The fences are tall like we have seen with other miter saws of this quality. One of the main benefits of this model is the bevel stops make it easy to stop at 0, 33.9, 45 and 48 degree marks. When you’re choosing a miter saw, you’ll need to consider the power source of the saw. There are two types of power sources for miter saws, such as corded saws and cordless saws. With corded saws, you’ll get more power from the saw, which is perfect for cutting through thicker material.

Aside from over 2k people loving this product, there’s also brand loyalty to the Dewalt name. Dewalt is known for high-quality products, and this miter saw only adds to their legacy. Technically speaking, sometimes it’s their other products’ rave reviews that lead to the credence of purchasing this miter saw. If their table saw is so well-received, then chances are their other saws are going to be useful . In summary, if you’re looking for an accurate, durable and smooth cutting saw with ample power for thick wood, this is a saw worth considering.

Except for specific cuts that are seldom made, I have never even seen the need for the clamp or seen anyone else use it. The clamp isn’t required for safety so you can’t think of it as a safety device. The only time I have used the one on my Kapex is for holding a stop block.

You could spend more but in my opinion this saw is capable of the finest cuts you’ll need to make especially if you upgrade from the 60-tooth to an 80-tooth or higher count blade. The saw doesn’t come with extension supports but a good work support stand is available from Dewalt, or you could do like most woodworkers and build your own saw stand to suit your needs. It can make straight horizontal cuts up to 13-3/4” which means you could crosscut a 2 x14 laid flat on the table. For cabinet makers, this means cutting shelving without having to flip the pieces over to finish the cuts. It also can cut baseboard pieces up to 6-3/4” high because the motor is stacked above the saw and driven with a belt, providing maximum depth of cut.

However, I wouldn’t be able to use this to cut material that require some precision cuts. This is somewhat disappointing to see such problem in a tool made by DeWalt. The only question that I’m left with is why DeWalt didn’t go with a brushless motor on this model. Run time is excellent and cutting is confident, so I wouldn’t say that it necessarilyneeds it… but it’d be nice. Perhaps that was how they were able to keep the kit price under $400.

Then another 10 cuts are made, followed by another rest. We feel this is the best way to simulate actual use on the job. Obviously, with the new 9.0 Ah battery packs that were just released this month, the run time will be even greater. While framing the walkout basement on this project, the crew was able to cut framing lumber all day using just two battery packs .

The DWX726 has wheels that allow the user to move the stand around with very little effort. For that reason, it is the go-to for maneuverability. The most noticeable difference between these three saw stands is their weight capacity. DWX723 can hold up to 400 pounds, DWX724 can handle 500 pounds, DWX726 caps out at 300 pounds. This stand is also expensive compared to other similar ones. Because of its advanced features – and in spite of its lowest capacity – it is generally the most expensive product on this list.
