I tried repositioning ng the cushioning, but then the straps were in the wrong position. Nothing made it work, and he just looked uncomfortable, even in the reclined position. If I didn’t need the extra cushions I think it would be Ok. However, my son has a longer torso and the straps and head cushions still wouldn’t have worked for him. In the long run, it will still potentially save you money, since you won’t need to purchase a newborn infant car seat and then another one when your child reaches 40 pounds.

The LATCH straps use the same belt pathway you use for the vehicle belt installation, but it only has a one-sided strap pull for tightening. This can graco booster seat be challenging compared to options with unique tightening methods like self-ratcheting straps and center pull tightening. this is the 2nd one like this only reason for new one was car seat was in car when someone it car head on so for safety reason replace with the same one newer model. Perfect for my toddler and I love the extend feet feature.

The angle adjustment on the Extend2Fit is simple and adjusts the angle to assist with installation. Saying it gets easier as the headrest gets higher doesn’t help in the moment, does it? One way to get around it is to not adjust the harness each ride. I’d complain to Graco about it because they won’t change it if they don’t hear about it. Even if she’s over 3 months old, the carseat can still be reclined so that the ball is in the light blue circle. Recline position #4 is required when the seat is installed forward-facing for a child weighing less than 40 lbs.

If you’re interested in installing through LATCH, you won’t have any issues; The LATCH connectors are the basic push-on type. The directions and guides for which anchors to use are clearly marked on the sides of the seat. The markings are also clear for the belt path to use when using a seat belt installation. I did find the belt path a bit narrow when rear-facing, which just meant I needed to pay a bit more attention to thread the seat belt through the path for the installation. I so wish we had car seats like this when my two were little.
