Also, the material, while great for cleaning and not absorbing moisture, doesn’t breathe and made my baby hot this summer. When we had our first child six years ago, we purchased our first infant car seat. Over the years we were lucky enough to be able to use the same seat with each child. Fast forward to our fourth child’s arrival and our infant seat was set to expire just weeks after her due date. Car seats suddenly felt so overwhelming and I was constantly looking at different brands to read and compare their features to see what made them better than the next. Having always been a fan of Graco, I fell in love with their SnugRide infant seats and the features that are offered on them.
And that’s a good thing to keep in mind when you use your infant swing. Again, it can be a great tool for banishing your baby’s cranky spells, but it’s not something you’ll want to use for all of your baby’s naps. Unfortunately, though, the “too much of a good thing” rule does apply to your graco booster seat baby’s swing. Remember, our babies and toddlers are quick to form habits. We don’t want to leave any of you with the impression that swings are unsafe, though — not at all! Used properly, swings can be excellent tools for calming fussy babies and giving parents a bit of much-needed peace.
We take the stroller in restaurants because she likes it better than her car seat. This stroller is so stylish and we get so many compliments when around company. Featuring a 50-pound weight limit, this jogging stroller has large bicycle wheels and a front swivel wheel that can be unlocked for casual sidewalk use. It also comes with a parent tray with two cup holders, a storage compartment for any essentials and a child tray with a cup holder so they can play with toys or eat snacks.
We first used it when he was 12 months old in the rear-facing position with the five-point harness. When he was a little more than 2 years old, we moved it to the forward-facing position, still using the five-point harness. We like that he stayed in a familiar seat through that transition and that we didn’t have to keep buying new gear and equipment as he grew. This signal that the seat was secure gave us instant peace of mind. And when we needed to remove the car seat for cleaning, disconnecting it was just as simple—all we had to do was push down on the red button and pull out the LATCH tethers.
As far as safety features and ease of use go, this product is top of the line. The only downside parents mention is not being able to use the seat as a carrier. Clek Liing features superior safety technology on its base and comes with a very easy to use carrier. It’s fairly narrow, lightweight and installs easily.
Be prepared to use those muscles and coordination to get this thing clicked out. But my best friend, who is on kid number 2 with this system, assures me that it gets easier and doesn’t get stuck as much as time goes on. There’s a recline feature that allows you to move the base to 4 different heights. Use the included level indicator on the seat to make sure that you have it all just right.
They are designed to raise a child up so that lap and shoulder seat belts fit properly over the strongest parts of the child’s body. If using the lower anchors, make sure that the weight of your child plus the weight of the seat does not exceed 65 pounds. Most seats now state in the manual and on the stickers on the side the maximum child weight to use the anchors. If the child weighs too much, caregivers must use the seat belt to install. If using a seat belt, make sure it runs through the forward-facing belt path and that the seat belt is locked and tightened.
If you’ve ever installed an older car seat, you may recall LATCH connectors as being basic hooks (which weren’t always the easiest to work with). But Graco’s InRight latch connectors are really simple to use—you just push until you hear the click, then tighten. You can find all of the Graco infant car seats with InRight LATCH here (it’s almost all of them). This car seat is very lightweight compared to other car seats I have owned witch makes it easier to carry even with my baby in it.
