This full-size toaster oven has a built-in air fryer, which uses powerful, ultra-hot air for lots of crunch without the calories. A large, 4-pound chicken requires only a teaspoon of oil to come out crispy and hot. The Toaster Oven is just as it sounds! It’s different than a traditional air fryer because of this reason–it has a lot more functions than just air frying. I have very limited counter space so I knew I didn’t want the traditional air fryer because I don’t need one more appliance! I have the stainless steel version but it comes in other colors as well, all include a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty.
Unlike some of the previous settings, you do not need to preheat the oven when on Air Fry, it heats up quickly. Warm – Unlike a microwave, your Cuisinart oven will reheat food evenly. You can also use the warm function to reheat fried food and make them crisp again.
The toaster function is easy to use and doesn’t overtoast. I also used the bake function to reheat pizza and it turned out perfect, much quicker than expected. For anyone with a small but busy kitchen, it’s a great backup for the range when the oven is occupied.
A large 13-inch by 13-inch air fryer rack means more air frying at once without having to toss ingredients a lot during cooking. The control panel is easy to read and very intuitive – we barely needed to refer to the user’s guide when using for the first time. I don’t think I would have bought a standalone air fryer, but I’ve used that function a lot on this and it turns out hot, crispy food really fast. I’ve used it for brussels sprouts, tofu nuggets, frozen fries, and reheating chicken leftovers and I’m just really impressed by what it can do.
Easy to use– You’ll either be using three dials to air fry, convection bake/broil, or the one for toasting. The door features a large window to keep an eye on any food item without interrupting the cooking process. This high-quality, full-size toaster oven/fryer has some great little cuisinart pots and pans set features as well. It includes a safety door that immediately shuts down the toaster oven when opening it and a timer to switch on the toaster oven. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because the oven’s interior light burned out within the first few seconds I used it.
Went online to check out how to replace it and saw that many others have had the same problem with the oven light. It also appears that the entire oven has to be taken apart to replace the bulb, so we won’t be replacing it. I don’t think it’s enough of a problem to return the unit, because you can always open the door and peep in. Almost wish it didn’t have that feature so I wouldn’t miss it. It’s certainly not as good as the big ol’ Breville Smart Oven Air — although it’s still great for a dual-function air fryer toaster oven. The stainless steel baking pan and air frying basket are easy to clean. It also has an easy-to-clean crumb tray that slides out for washing. And, although this convection toaster oven does have a fan, the motor is so quiet you’ll barely hear it.
