Dewalt Dw735 13″ Two Speed Planer Review
Hey Todd, is there anyone out there who has a good field set up for the 735X? Looking for an option that can be rolled out of a trailer and used on a stand reliably. Eric – There’s just no way for us to realistically do that. Many guys ask us about that, but we’re not a testing company, we don’t have the tools, resources or time to do long term testing.

So, basically, if you have a means of supporting the lumber you plan to mill with the planer, then definitely go for the DW735. On bigger boards going through the 735, you have to take tiny cuts, because the large part of the blade is working and not just a small part. If you slab was 10 or 12 inches wide, you have to accept a thinner cut and a slower cut, the planer is working much harder than normal.
