Ozark Trail Cooler Review 26 quarts

Last but definitely not least is the largest 30 can leak-tight Ozark cooler, which is supposed to be a party design. In fact, the cooler at hand would require some serious effort to carry around as it measures 21 x 16.5 x 8.5 & weighs 3.75 pounds while empty. Indeed, this is a large cooler, measuring around 35 x 18 x 18 inches & compiling a total weight of 36.8 straight out of the box.

Both coolers have pull down rubber latches, but they work in different ways. So first I’ll outline some of the good features they both have and ozark cooler then we’ll look more closely at the differences between them. Check out our review of the Coleman Atlas Series 65-Quart Cooler with Wheels.

So imagine our joy when we stumbled upon this little gem of a brand. The Ozark Trail cooler brand is sold mostly in Walmart stores. Yes, you will most likely see differing results when adding cans or bottles into the mix.

Ice retention is really good on this cooler and this in one of the cheapest, and one of my favorite small hard sided coolers. The hard coolers from this brand are built to be on par with the most premium brands. Here the ice retention is pretty impressive if Ozark’s own numbers are to be believed.

Ozark Trail coolers come in 2 colors – a dark grey with black and orange accents or a white color with black and orange accents. Not having cup holders is one of my biggest annoyances with my Yeti cooler and ozark tent Lifetime don’t have any cup holders. Both of these coolers are certified bear proof if locked at the front with a padlock. This means bears won’t be able to get into these cooler when you’re out camping.

In terms of build quality, this is a BPA-free mug made out of high-grade 18/8 stainless steel, so you won’t really have to worry about its durability. Unfortunately, it is available in a single color – burnished stainless steel – but hey, it’s four times cheaper than the Yeti Rambler 14 oz mug. Manufactured from thick 18/8 stainless steel, this mug is also very rugged and capable of withstanding a lot of wear and tear. During drop-testing, Yeti Rambler 26 oz ended up with only a couple of dents on the bottom of its body. In other words, this is a very sturdy and well-made hiking water bottle, and I’ve expected nothing less from Yeti.

However, we cannot definitely say whether Ozark Trail is a Walmart company or not but it looks as a private label brand of Walmart. The Ozark Trail cooler is made from polyethylene, which is the most common kind of plastic in use today. As far as color options go, you can purchase this in one of two colors, Greystone which is the one featured in this article and a lighter grey.

We still spent more money than I’d like but at least we saved 20%. Just as with the other cooler test, we purchased four bags of ice and put the Coleman and YETI Tundra 65 in a head-to-head test. Consequently, unless you really need those extra couple hours of ice retention, you will be just as satisfied with an Ozark Trail as you would with a Yeti Tundra. Consequently, you do not have to worry about water spilling outside once the ice has melted nor water getting inside on a rainy day. Indeed, hard shell Ozark Trail coolers are highly resourceful in the sense that they are equipped with everything you’ll need on your little adventure. Accordingly, this cooler measures 19 x 8.5 x 13 inches, totalling in an impressive 2.4 pounds.
