Sportsoul aspires to provide every user with the freedom to enjoy basketball without limitations. This trampoline from Beast Inc. is a comparable 15-foot round trampoline with a netting enclosure and similar safety features. Both boast high ratings and feature extra-thick coil springs, galvanized steel framework, and similar T-sockets. Kids of all ages got the sensation of driving around the neighbourhood just like their parents—albeit at around five miles per hour—when Pines of America brought Power Wheels to the masses in the early 1980s. Also, yorin trampoline are thought to be sturdier and more durable than Bouncepro trampolines. However, there have been complaints about the spring cover wearing out after only a week(!) of jumping, and that the frame cover wasn’t that durable, either. Howver, Alley Oop’s variety is quite limited, and its netting is “traditionally” mounted directly to the vertical supports and to the frame of the trampoline itself.

Although it is not considered to be the absolute safest trampoline there is, it’s still very safe and we do recommend it. These can help anchor the trampoline in place and add safety. However, not all models come with these, and you may have to buy them separately. Also, the anchors are meant to keep the trampoline from blowing away in the wind – not to keep your kid safe. This issue added quite a bit of time to the construction of the trampoline. Sure, it could have been user error—buyer, beware if you’re less than handy with tools or instructions—but after looking back at the instructions, they still seem unclear.
While Jumpsport owns Alley Oop, the two are absolutely not comparable. You might say that Jumpsport is the much-lower line of trampolines, though they are generally considered to be a good brand. But if Skywalker is competing head-to-head with Alley Oop (and they are), Jumpsport’s lower quality line is certainly not in the same ballpark. What this means is that if your child mis-jumps, he may very well hit a pole directly. And the only thing protecting him from the springs is the pad on top of them. It’s considered to be the better of the two trampolines, and their fabric components last longer than Skywalker’s.
Customer reviews show the Skywalker trampoline is relatively easy to put together. Though Skywalker’s site is beautiful and modern, it did not load well for me in Firefox, and I was forced to open a special Chrome window in order to view their site. Some of the pages did load in Firefox, but I couldn’t click anything. When I tried to click a link, the page kind of jumped and stayed the same. This also happened with those arrows you click to show the next product on the same page.
Our testers spent many afternoons tumbling, flipping, and jumping for hours on end. Even with several kids jumping at once, they were able to get a good bounce from the jumping surface, enough to throw layouts or back tucks with no issue. The instructions state that the maximum weight is 150 pounds, but the capacity listed online is 200 pounds. We tested that weight limit with heavier jumpers and found no issues with bounce.
Extra safety features mean a safer jumping experience for kids and a breath of relief for parents. Instead, have safety enclosures, to ensure jumpers don’t fall out. And like every other trampoline, each Skywalker trampoline has a weight limit. The included enclosure system interlocks the jump mat and enclosure net at each spring, eliminating dangerous gaps and giving parents peace of mind and lasting family memories.
The one issue we had was with the safety netting around the jumping surface. Though we didn’t notice any gapping or problems with the areas where the net meets the metal framework, the netting itself felt less sturdy than some of the higher-end trampolines on the market. It’s soft and malleable, but if you live in a climate with rain and snow, bounce pro trampoline we could see it getting worn out down the road. It likely wouldn’t stand up to too much roughhousing with older, heavier kids, but we still felt comfortable with the younger, lighter kids bouncing each other into the netting repeatedly.
