Bissell CrossWave MAX is it worth the splurge?! An honest review

The BISSELL CrossWave Cordless Max and Dyson Omni-glide are differently-designed vacuums with differing intended use cases, though they’re both meant for cleaning bare floors. The Dyson is a uniquely-designed stick vacuum with a rotating twin-brushroll head. It’s much lighter than the BISSELL, easier to maneuver, and makes less noise.

The BISSELL CrossWave Cordless Max uses a conventional upright configuration and isn’t suitable for cleaning the inside of your car. I love having a clean floor without the hours of time it generally would take me. I would say this is an investment piece that is totally worth saving up your pennies for. Hands down, I would 100% recommend this small appliance if you’re in the market for a new vacuum cleaner.

It works well at freshening up carpets, including rubber floor mats, while also cleaning multiple types of hard flooring. The Bissell Cordless Max multi-surface cleaner has a 36 V lithium-ion battery. It also works well to pick up pet hair and bulky dry debris without losing dyson robot vacuum any suction. I also appreciate that due to it’s compact size, it cleans small areas just as well as large areas. It’s listed as a high-performance vacuum with its fast cleaning ability. People love that it works as a carpet cleaner, a steam mop, a dry vacuum, and wet vacuum.

It leaves your carpets slightly damp, but they dry quickly. This isn’t deep cleaning your carpets, but it gives them a nice refresh. It will definitely help with the lighter stains, but for tough stains, you’ll either have to spot treat of shampoo.

When the self cleaning cycle is finished, simply empty the dirty tank of water and its ready for the next use. It’s perfect for large areas with many types of flooring, including tile floors, wooden floors, and can even clean area rugs and carpets. The BISSELL CrossWave Cordless Max does a great job of sucking up water.

While a few parts need periodic cleaning, they’re easy to access. The website does say that they have improved this feature, but it’s still not ideal for those areas because there are no attachments. Although, I will say that it’s tough to do any edge cleaning. You can even set up helpful alerts to make sure your vacuum stays in perfect working condition. You just have to set up bissell app alerts all within the app.

Its brushroll motor isn’t strong enough to keep the roller moving on thick carpeting, making it very hard to push around. The shark cordless Max is reasonably easy to store. The dock also has a drying rack for its brushroll and filter. The water tank has clearly legible fill lines for cleaning either large or small spaces. It will then enter into a self-cleaning mode where It flushes out dirt, hair, and debris.

It’s also lighter, charges faster, and has a dustbin that’s roughly twice as large. The shark cordless Max has some disadvantages in dealing with pet hair. It does a fantastic job of dealing with pet hair on bare floors, but you might need to make an extra pass to collect all of it on low-pile carpeting. Its brushroll is pretty tangle-prone, but thankfully you can remove it to clear away any stuck-on hair. Since you can’t configure it as a handheld vacuum, it isn’t suitable for cleaning pet hair from furniture. It also lacks a HEPA filter, and some allergens can escape from its exhaust.

I have a few shag rugs and the high-pile seems to get caught in the roller. My home is over 4,000 square feet and any small appliance that is going to save me time cleaning my floors is totally worth the splurge. Most people find their bissell crosswave vacuum to be a great addition to their small home appliances. The BISSELL CrossWave Cordless Max’s range is limited only by the remaining battery life and the room left within its dirt compartment. After the warranty is up, feel free to use whatever you like. The Cordless Max has a self-cleaning cycle to make that process so easy with just the push of a button.

The battery level only lasts 30 minutes or so before needing to be back on the charging dock. Due to having a large home, how much square footage I can cover really depends on how fast I can work. Probably my favorite feature of the Bissell Crosswave Max is that it works on carpets! Not only does it vacuum everything up on my carpet, but it refreshed my carpets making them smell fantastic.
