Gtx 1660 Super
Here are the gaming performance results for the EVGA gtx 1080 8gb SC Ultra. Most of the other cards are reference clocked models, though the RTX 2070, 2080, and 2080 Ti are Founders Edition cards that also have a 90MHz factory overclock. AMD’s RX 590, 580, and 570 cards are likewise factory overclocked models, but I don’t normally consider differences of less than 5 percent to be particularly meaningful when comparing performance. There’s a reason for these new GTX Super cards, of course, and that reason is AMD. Specifically, AMD recently launched the OEM version of the Radeon RX 5500, and consumer models are expected to arrive shortly.

Between this and its faster GDDR6 memory, this card should be easily faster than the GTX 1660 and land within striking distance of the 1660 Ti out of the box. Now Nvidia has released the GTX 1660 Super with an MSRP of $229 , slotting between the GTX 1660 and 1660 Ti. Along with the GTX 1660 Super, Nvidia also announced a lesser GTX 1650 Super, which we’re in the process of testing. Stepping up to 2,560 x 1,440 and there’s very little difference between the RX 590 and GTX 1660, with just a small bump in the minimum frame rate for the Nvidia card. A minimum frame rate of 37fps is a great result here given this is a mid-range resolution at some fairly high settings in this game, although I’d be tempted to opt for the GTX 1660 Ti for a little more headroom. Once again, there’s a huge near 30% step up from the GTX GB, meaning that you’d probably consider the new card a worthwhile upgrade. The Turing architecture was introduced almost a year ago, and today the lineup has grown significantly larger than it was at launch. The GTX 1660 Super is undoubtedly a worthy successor to the original GTX 1660, which was a popular graphics card choice in many budget gaming setups. The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER would be the latest addition to the Turing based GeForce 16 family.

This card requires only two slots, while the ASUS card is 2.7 slots wide. Meanwhile, as I mentioned towards the start of this article, while NVIDIA is launching the new GTX 1660 Super card today, they are not going to be retiring any of their other cards in its wake. So, on paper, the GTX 1660 Super is going to be positioned very narrowly between the GTX 1660 Ti and the GTX 1660 . Components that offer the best value for money have great performance and a low price .
The big news with the Super version of the GTX 1660 is that it offers faster GDDR6 memory, which allows for almost double the memory bandwidth compared to the GTX 1660. 2.Performance-This is a GTX 1660 SUPER and most people knows for what it is made. Yes, it runs every modern AAA title at high to ultra settings at 1080p with respectable 60+ to about 100+ FPS. Both cards look set to retail at similar prices once the GTX 1660 hits the shelves. Overall the Nvidia card is faster, but there are some titles where the difference is negligible and others where the AMD card is faster.
As expected, the performance uplift isn’t universal, but we saw enough gains for this new GPU to get the ‘Super’ moniker. At the intended $230 MSRP, the would cost just 2% more per frame than the RX 590 and that makes it the better choice given the greatly reduced power consumption. At $240 it may still be the right choice for most, but anything more than that and you could argue strongly for the RX 590 at $200.
