After assembling the pool, we needed to unpack and connect the filter. The filter unit comes mostly assembled, so we just had to attach the hoses and then add (#20 silica) sand. Of course, we needed an electrical source to power the filter pump—one that was positioned to avoid being soaked by water from the pool. There is a ground-fault circuit interrupter, or GFCI, on the pump to prevent electrocution.
This warranty is included in the filter pump manual. Intex does have a service program that covers any pool manufacturing defects within the first 90 days from the date of original purchase. The product must be returned to Intex along with a copy of the dated sales receipt, your name, address, telephone number and a brief note explaining the reason for the return. It is suggested that you ship the pruduct to Intex using a traceable shipping method.
But besides saving money like in the former pool, I got much better filtration. I don`t think it`s due to the more efficient pump, but due to a specific technology. The XTR pool has two big advantages over intex purespa the regular Ultra Frame and Prism Frame. The XTR pools are powder coated on both the inside and outside, but even more importantly than that is the fact that the XTR pools also use galvanized steel.
But maybe the most impressive improvement is their filtration system that they upgraded to provide better circulation and water clarity. Intex also happens to be a very trusted brand in the pool industry, which is why we recommend them. After all, even a budget-friendly pool is an investment.
However, you, of course, are free to use whatever you choose. The application doesn’t change much whether you use chlorine or bromine. You’ll just need to follow the instructions on the container. For the sake of simplicity, we’ll stick with chlorine. While some people prefer to go a gentler route with bromine, chlorine is still the most effective option on the market. Water that’s too hard has a calcium hardness level that’s too high.
