Graco 4ever Dlx

She is technically old enough to ride in a booster seat, but she remains harnessed in her regular car seat. In the 4Ever DLX, she was very comfortable and the harness fit her well with room left to grow before she’d outgrow the harness. Another ease of use feature on the 4Ever DLX is the lockoff that can be used when installing this seat forward facing with the vehicle seat belt. This seat is a mix of the 4Ever and the Graco Extend2Fit. Like other convertibles, it will not serve as a portable infant carrier, nor will it fit on strollers.

On the other end of the size spectrum, the belt guide doesn’t go much higher than the top harness slot. That means that a child who outgrows the harness by height won’t have much more time before the high-back booster is also outgrown by height. It’s important to note that for all children over 40 lbs., whether in harness or booster mode, the #6 recline position must be used. The same child is also well within the height and weight range for forward-facing.

Maybe it’s just because I haven’t worked with a lot of Graco seats for whatever unknown reason. I would not call this a big drawback; I feel it’s inherent in any seat with as many features as the 4Ever has. You simply can’t fit 4 functions and all those bells and whistles into one seat and not expect a little complexity. I found myself reaching for the manual quickly with this seat because there was a lot I could NOT figure out . Both my daughter and the Huggable Images doll fit nicely in backless mode.

Graco’s Size4Me car seat is a convertible seat which allows babies weighing between 4-40 lbs to rear-face, while those weighing between lbs can forward-face. The Symphony’s maximum weight in booster mode is 110 lbs – 10 lbs less than the 4Ever’s maximum weight. The Graco 4Ever is the most popular convertible car seat at the moment, and for good reason. The graco booster seat includes an optional shoulder belt guide adjuster – a small red clip attached to a black webbing.

For smaller babies, it may be necessary to remove them until the child is large enough for the harness covers to not interfere with proper chest clip placement. Graco Metal Products decided to make new products in 1953 after hiring an engineer to create new designs. With inspiration graco booster seat from an outdoor glider, Rex Thomas and David Saint designed the first swing for babies. The first of its kind sold millions pushing Graco into the baby gear stratosphere. Graco continues to create baby-centric products including swings, walkers, car seats, strollers, and more.

The 4Ever DLX Platinum offers a total of six recline positions, and the recline is easily adjusted by pulling an adjuster on the front of the seat. However, there are rules regarding which recline positions you can and can’t use. As far as safety features and ease of use go, this product is top of the line. The only downside parents mention is not being able to use the seat as a carrier. Parents and family members alike love this seat as it’s a “one and done” set up. The seat will be installed in your car and not removed unless moving to another vehicle or using in a new seat configuration.

The padding is adequate but could be denser for comfort and the fabric has a relatively cares weave with piping details that could chafe bare skin of passengers. The shell is only semi-contained and there are plenty of nooks and crannies on the whole seat that will make cleaning challenging. The base bottom is smooth to protect your vehicle seat, which is a nice detail, but overall it feels more like a less expensive seat. The cover of this seat is machine washable but needs to be hung to dry. Machines washable is a best-case scenario and we applaud any seat that makes life easier. We do think hanging to dry could be a problem as this takes time and depending on your climate could cause a problem with potential seat use.
