The burner knobs, nice big handle on the lid, lid-mounted thermometer, side tables, all there and all very similar. The six tool hooks on the side tables are great for hanging all your accessories. Without going into too much generic background about the new series, let’s instead look specifically at what the new grills offer, and then dig down into some specific models. The lights come on as the lid is opened and are powerful enough to illuminate the entire grilling area as well as the side tables. A huge difference between the older Weber models and the 2022 Genesis models is the upgraded wheels.

An NYC native, Brian now resides in bucolic Louisville, Kentucky where he rides longboards downhill in his free time. Weber Genesis II models feature a choice of three or four burners, all rated at a healthy 37,500 BTU to provide weber genesis 2 ample heating power for any ingredients. What’s more, each burner is protected by removable bars to ward off grease while spreading heat more evenly, alongside weather-resistant electrodes for reliable ignition at all times.

The two-tone gray exterior with that enameled black lid definitely looks the part of a premium grill. If it could talk, it would say, “Well, hello there,” where many grills are saying, “Wazzup! ” The bottom line — it looks like a barbecue for a serious griller. The Genesis is one of Weber’s premium lines of grills, well-built, feature-rich, and made for those who want the very best and are willing to pay for it. An exclusive world-class grilling engine, three powerful burners, with iGrill 3 smart technology compatibility – backed by the Weber 10 year warranty on all parts. With those weaknesses and—–have a seat—–the $1,400 price tag on the three-burner model, I just can’t recommend it. Results might vary slightly between the two-, four-, or six-burner models, but even still, it’s just too much money to spend on something so surprisingly underpowered.

The other difference is that the Genesis has a larger total cooking area, so it is better for larger crowds or professional cooking. It also has a propane fuel gauge so that you always know where you stand and when next you will need to fill up, rather than be a victim of the element of surprise. The burners can become stuck and require a little extra force to pull out, but do not pull too hard and hit the top of the grill or yourself. With both hands, carefully pull the burner upwards and slightly to the left in order to pull it out of its slot. Place the removed heat deflector plates off to the side of the grill. Weber’s Genesis series of propane grills has provided casual barbecue fans with the ideal entry point to backyard cooking. Combining 39,000 BTUs of grilling power with 600 square inches of weber charcoal grill cooking space, there’s plenty of grill to play with on the E-310. The primary cooking space on this grill amounts to 770 square inches, in addition to the 228 square inch warming rack.

The cooking surfaces will spread heat evenly, while the body of the grill will retain heat – especially with the lid closed. Similar to how this Weber grill treated burgers, the Genesis II pumped out more heat than was necessary. On both the 3 hour and the 3 hour 30 minute runs, the ribs were good but too crisp and dry for my taste. The solution lies with some different combination of cooking time and temperature, but within the confines of the time allotted for this review, I had to stop there.
