RV Camping in Boardman Oregon: 66 Campgrounds in the Boardman area

My personal favorite is the 12-person, 3-room instant cabin tent. It provides a ton of space in an easy-to-carry package that sets up in minutes AND provides three rooms that give the entire gang loads of space to spread out. For cons, there’s only 1 door in the entire 10-person tent, there’s almost no ventilation at all when it’s raining, and it also leaks within just 15 minutes of light rain. The mattresses that I used in the picture above are slightly smaller than queen size, but almost queen-sized, give or take a couple of inches.

This is largely due to the tent’s design, as dome tents overall perform better in bad weather than cabin tents. Similar to easy setup, some tent brands are just flat-out better at weather protection than others. This 10 person tent is a whopping 20’ by 10’ and splits into Ozark Trail Canopies three rooms. You also might be able to squeeze in another twin-sized bed if you want to pack more people in. To accommodate 10 people in this tent, it’s almost shoulder-to-shoulder sleeping, although there’s some space down the middle for just a tiny bit of camping gear.

If you prefer to camp in an RV, boondocking in Oregon can be a simple—and fun—way to keep costs down. Boondocking is typically outside of developed campsites, meaning there is no water or hookups available. Parking overnight in a parking lot such as a Walmart is Ozark Trail Sleeping Bags sometimes an option, but campers must get permission from the store manager before doing so. The best feature is that this tent has an ambient LED light source that can be changed between low, medium, and high levels, providing lighting throughout the tent.

Free camping is available outside of coastal state parks and outside of certain city limits. You can check the Ozark trail tents website for more information. The tent has a special mud pad that keeps your shoes clean and protects the tent’s base from mud and grime. The attached rolling storage bag makes carrying this tent around after using a breeze. The green and tan colors are excellent for camouflaging your tent as they match the natural surroundings.

Space matters if you are a standard group of four people or a larger 12-person group. You want to ensure enough headroom while the tent keeps a low profile in any space you want to set it in. Comfort is another essential feature so you can sleep under a shaded tent, lay the sleeping bags or bed on a mud-proof tent floor, and stay safe from pesky bugs. You can have all the safety and comfort you need while camping outside with a group of six people thanks to the Ozark Trail 6-Person ConnectEnt. Your entire group will be sheltered under this 100-square-foot tent, which comfortably holds two queen air beds or up to six sleeping bags.

The other divider, made of silver-coated fabric, can also be used as a movie screen. You receive two strings of hanging LED lights to provide lighting within the tent to keep you from the dark. Additionally, it has an E-port for charging all of your electronic devices. Tent brands usually make the same decisions across all their tents. They form the corners the same way and attach everything the same way, too. If they get it right with one tent, it’s likely all of their tents have great weather protection.

The 3 roof poles are made of fiberglass, which are a bit more flexible. I wouldn’t recommend putting this 10-person tent up on your own though, because it’s quite difficult to get the roof to prop up by yourself. Sometimes I worry that these fiberglass poles will break, because they’re not that sturdy.

Certain tent brands make easy setup a priority, and Ozark Trail is definitely one of them. Ozark Trail instant tents set up within seconds, and even the regular models won’t give you a headache. Our favorite for easy setup is the Ozark Trail 8-Person Instant Cabin Tent with LED Lighted Poles and Bluetooth Ozark Trail Camping Chairs Speaker. Like the 12 person tent, it also comes with a T-style door, so you can move camping gear and furniture without having to fangle it through a small, D-style door. Cabin-style straight wall tent designs provide more lateral space, sure, but a dome tent is better against the wind.
