I Tested the Ozark Trail 10-Person Cabin Tent Review

When it comes to sleeping amongst stunning scenery and mild climates, it’s hard to compete with the state of Oregon. This beautiful state is filled with mountains, greenery, and plenty of opportunities to pitch a tent. If your group of 11 people is seeking a particularly ozark trail tent roomy, cozy, and spacious tent, look no further. Since it is a pop-up tent, putting it up only takes a few minutes and no work. This Ozark Trail 11-Person Instant Cabin has an open floor plan and an additional connecting back room perfect for a closet.

The mesh doesn’t exactly feel soft and silky, and I’m pretty sure it’s not no-see-um mesh, though it’ll keep the bigger bugs out. I also found a bunch of loose threads on the floor when I first got into the tent, and excess material on some parts. Also, I noticed that some water was already seeping through the blue fabric at the bottom of the tent, and the fabric is pretty much soaked. For ventilation, this Ozark Trail 10-Person Tent has a lot of mesh on the roof of the tent. There’s also 1 lantern loop at the very top of the tent for some lighting at night. I can’t reach this either, but you should be fine if you’re a little taller.

Certain brands are tailored towards certain camping styles, depending on how many people you want to bring. Although Ozark Trail offers tents in the two to five-person sizes, their bread & butter are the larger sizes. If you find a brand that specializes in the size you want, you’re likely to end up with a great product. This 11 person instant cabin tent is an excellent option for those who want a tent that’s less like a hallway and more like a big room. The main area is huge, giving you and the family plenty of room to enjoy each other’s company.

Though it is a cabin-style tent, the slanted walls will give it more wind resistance than a typical cabin tent. The carry bag seems to be of okay quality, and it can be made bigger for easier packing up. It wasn’t too difficult to get the tent, poles and all other accessories back into the carry bag. The stitching especially around the doors and windows don’t seem that well done either, and I found a lot of excess threads as well. It rained for about an hour while I was using this Ozark Trail 10-Person Cabin Tent, with about 20 minutes of moderate rainfall and about 40 minutes of pretty light rain.

Compared to competitors like Core and Coleman, Ozark Trail’s weather protection isn’t as solid. On top of that, all of their tents are affordable, come with an electrical cord port, and set up in minutes. They might not be great for winter camping, and they’re not rated for hurricane-force rains, but they will give you a great camping experience in fairer weather. Ozark Trail Camping Chairss are competitive with CORE and Coleman Tents, but in our opinion ultimately fall a little short of both brands in quality and consistency.

Rating and Summary The Core Straight Wall Cabin Tent is an incredibly spacious tent. Its 10-person version has an impressive peak height of 90 inches, and I couldn’t even reach the top of the tent! (I’m 5’3″, ,by the way.) Another great thing about the Core Cabin Tent is that there are no obvious flaws….
