Hyper Bicycles: E-Ride 36V 700C Electric Bike or 26″ Electric Mountain Bike

In the advent of an unruly passerby walking into your path, the Alloy V-brakes kick-in and stop the cycle in the blink of an eye. All things said and done, there are a few pitfalls of hyper biking that you should also consider before you decide whether or not to pick one of these. Every time the terrain transforms and you come across a hill, the focus shifts to your heart and lungs, which have to work harder to pump blood and oxygen. Cycling is a low-impact aerobic activity that recruits all major muscle groups in your body. From your fingers (grip) to the forearms, to the calves, every muscle works in synergy when you pedal away. Look as good as their beefier, mountain-climbing counterparts.

Since they are so durable, they tend to wear down much more quickly than a normal bicycle would. The Elby Bike 9-Speed electric bike features an oversized aluminum frame with a step-through hyper mountain bike design that’s low enough for shorter people to easily get onto. It is really heavy though at around 57 pounds, so don’t expect to carry this bike without struggling.

It has a black saddle that’s thickly padded, and ergonomic handlebar grips with a nonslip rubber surface. TC20G found underneath the bottom of the frame near the chainring part. One of the main differences between the normal mountain bike and the hyper bike is the seat of the bike. The regular mountain bike seat is far too narrow for the tall rider and it can cause problems when riding at speed on rocky terrains. The suspension system that the Hyper mountain bike uses is very different to the typical suspension system that is used by many of the other hybrid road and mountain bikes. The suspension that the Hyper uses is actually called shock absorbers and they provide a very smooth ride over long distances on smooth surfaces.

There are a few key differences between the Hyper and Mongoose bike groupsets. The most notable difference is that the Mongoose bikes have Shimano shifters, while the Hyper bikes have SRAM shifters. It took only about 1⁄2 hour to assemble and included the seat, 2 pedals, front handlebar, 2 reflectors, and front wheel installation. It was well packed and took a bit to clip off the bike with all the cardboard protection, which did a great job of protecting the painted frame from unintended blemishes. A variety of colored graphics are also available to change the easily with the help of the button.

The company’s philosophy is to “build the best bikes in the world.” This means that Hyper Bikes focuses on creating bicycles that are lightweight, durable, and offer superior performance. The Hyper E-Ride City electric bike is commonly referred to as the electric bike from Walmart, as it sold almost exclusively at Walmart locations. The bikes battery lacks range, as the battery can only run for up to 20 miles or 1 hour. The E-Ride City scored a 26 on our Tower ebike score giving it a “non recommended ebike” rating.

Overtime, the frame’s stiffness can lead to small ‘fractures” in the frame, an issue that might not occur with high price point material such as carbon. For the beginner mountain biker, this is still a great option. Having said that, the Hyper Bikes that we are discussing may not necessarily be built by Hyper Bicycles though.
