Four total windows are adjustable from the inside of the tent. They’re double-zippered, and it’s just a matter of rolling them up and stowing them away to enjoy a breeze or take in a view in the morning. Also, a rear window accessed from the outside can be staked out into a small awning that protects the tent’s interior if you need a little extra air when it’s raining. The front door runs nearly the tent’s entire height, and an additional bug net door mirrors it exactly. If need be, one or both of these doors can be rolled back completely, converting the tent into an open-air structure that still keeps the bugs out.
Cabin tents with vertical walls allow you to get nice and close to the edges of the shelter, making the most of the available floor space. However, something like the Ozark Trail 10 person 3 room tent will force you to get a little more creative, given the sloped curves of the walls. My personal favorite Ozark Trail tent is the 12-person, 3-room instant cabin tent. It provides a ton of space in an easy-to-carry package that sets up in minutes AND provides three rooms that give the entire gang loads of space to spread out.
The seams aren’t sealed, and the untreated fabric that makes up the body is prone to soaking through after prolonged exposure. The phrasing that Ozark Trail uses is “water-resistant.” In my experience with the tent, that means in any serious rain, expect to see some moisture leaking through at least the seams. The bottom seam gives water a place to pool up and eventually leak into the tent.
On the other hand, there are more affordable tents that will go a long, long way for you. A center height of 78 inches makes this a great choice for taller people, as any good cabin tent should. Cabin-style straight wall tent designs provide more lateral space, sure, but a dome tent is better against the wind.
Once it’s set up, you’ll be amazed by just how spacious the cabin tent is—both in terms of sleeping space and headroom. Thanks to the roomy interior and ample headspace, you’ll lounge in style. Thanks to the E-Port, movable hanging media pocket, and hanging organizers, you’ll have access to all your favorite tech and luxuries without ever leaving the tent.
The 1200mm coating and taped-seam fly will shrug off water and keep you and your gear dry, and the built-in mesh side panels and windows provide excellent ventilation even in the dead of summer. Best of all, the tent is built for maximum waterproofing, with taped seams on the lower walls and roof. Thankfully, if you’re car or RV camping, you can unload it directly from ozark tent your vehicle, wheel it to your campsite, and get it set up. Pitching time is between 10 and 20 minutes, but once it’s set up, it offers truly next-level comfort. Looking for a lightweight, user-friendly tent you can pitch in a matter of seconds? This “instant” dome tent is designed for a 60-second setup time, with a pre-assembled frame that will make your job a breeze.
