Your zippers are the worst in all camping gears I have bought. It comes loose easily enough but over time this has put lots of little holes in that flap. The main thing to know going into an Ozark Trail purchase is that you need to do your due diligence not to overstress the materials because a heavy hand can absolutely damage them. Take time to inspect your tent when you first get it (damages from shipping are common), and don’t ever “force” anything when setting up or tearing down your shelter. Having room to spread out inside a tent is great, but unless it’s after dark or raining, chances are you won’t be spending any more time inside your shelter than you absolutely have to.
In terms of design and floor area, it surely stands out from the crowd. It comes with a rainfly, but the overall coverage isn’t the best. The short fly offers great all-around visibility though. The tent also received great reviews for the all-around views that it offers.
That counts for all recreational tents, even a great teepee. On that note, I can imagine very few circumstances in which 7 people could comfortably share this tent. Don’t get me wrong, Ozark Trail’s teepee is huge, but unless you plan on stacking people, ozark trail canopy there simply isn’t enough room. You could fit 7 sleeping bags, but not 7 bodies and their accessories. For families, I think approximately two adults and three kids is about as much as you would want at one time, and even that might be pushing it.
