The Argus fat tire mountain bike by Mongoose is one of Mongoose bikes’ most decent creations, in our opinion. The off-road capabilities of fat tire bikes are endless, and Kong is one of the best ways for younger riders to experience it. Top that up with mechanical disc brakes that lend stopping power with precision and comfortable beach cruiser pedals, then peddling up hills couldn’t be easier.
For starters, its beach cruiser frame gives it plenty of clearance to conquer any terrain. So much so that it smoothly takes on sand, snow, and every terrain between. Assembly is quick and easy, and in no time, the bike will be ready to hit the trails. A one of a kind creation from Mongoose bike is the Mongoose Argus toddler fat bike. To be honest, any of the 3 Mongoose bikes I list at the top here are winners and sometimes it’s more about what you can find in stock. Mongoose recommends this bike for riders up to 6 foot tall although many riders a few inches taller report no issues with the bike.
Mongoose Dolomite bikes are heavy like other mountain bikes and weigh 52 pounds. The alloy rims are also light enough to reduce the weight of the bike when cycling. It only adds to the speed and performance when tackling terrains. You can ride calmly with the front and rear disc brakes that get your bike to a stop when you need it to.
With a steel-frame base and extra wide wheels and tires, this bike’s pretty easy to learn on and can handle multiple terrain types, such as sand and snow. Like the previous Mongoose fat bikes, the knobby supersized (26 inches by 4.25 mongoose mountain bike inch wide) tires of this bike make it possible to ride on virtually any terrain. The bike’s 20-inch by 4.25 inch wide tires are appropriately grippy for superior traction and stability on dirt, grass, sand, or snowy terrain.
The 20-inch wheels version of the bike fits riders from ages 6 to 7, from 4 to 5 feet tall. The 16-inch is for kids ages 3 to 5, mongoose mountain bike and the 20-inch is for kids ages 6 to 8. I kid though, because Mongoose really does give you the best deals on fat bikes by far.
