One of them, the Spirit S-315, is similar to the Spirit II E-310 (our pick) with regard to the specs, and with a few cosmetic differences—and higher price tag. The S-315 has a slightly higher Btu output than our pick (32,000 Btu versus 30,000 Btu, respectively). But other than those minor variations, it looks like the S-315 would perform about the same as our pick—and wouldn’t be worth the higher price. Next time you cook, brush the cold, soot-covered grills clean, wipe them with a wet paper towel or rag, and then proceed. That goes against the common advice to clean the grates while they’re hot. Salvaggio has found that cleaning hot grates more easily damages the porcelain coating on cast iron, allowing rust to form.
Weber tries to help these people out by making the side tables collapsible. Take the guesswork out of cooking with Weber’s iGrill Digital Thermometers. This grill includes a dedicated side shelf mount specifically designed for use with the iGrill 3 so you always have it by your side when cooking. The side shelf mount keeps it from taking away valuable shelf space. (iGrill 3 Digital Thermometer not included) The technology connects to WiFi for remote access to monitor your cook.
Well, you get a bit more fire power per burner, but apart from that there isn’t too much difference here. It is up to you to decide whether this is worth the higher price tag. After using the Weber Spirit II E 310, I didn’t really notice any additional flavor. Also, while they can mitigate flare ups, there is still the possibility of these occuring.
We think a three-burner grill is large enough for most needs, with plenty of space to cook for a family dinner or a backyard BBQ. Grills with more burners are usually overkill, and two-burner grills can feel cramped. Gas grills run on either liquid propane (most Blackstone Adventure common) or natural gas—both fossil fuels. Though both are relatively clean-burning fuels, propane emits fewer greenhouse pollutants than natural gas—though the difference is negligible. However, propane is more efficient because it burns hotter than natural gas.
Both sizes have the same features and are available in LP and natural gas models. LP models have Weber’s Fuel Gauge, which estimates your gas tank level by weight. The GS4 High Performance Grilling System features an infinity ignition, weber spirit 2 high performance burners, stainless steel flavorizer bars and a grease management system. The Genesis E-325s is the only one of our picks that we haven’t physically tested, but we did check it out in person at a few different stores.
It’s a classic backyard staple, and it can fit up to 12 burger patties to feed a crowd—the same as the Spirit II E-310, but for less than half the price. This three-burner grill offers an unrivaled combination of performance, usability, versatility, durability, and value. Interestingly enough, Weber’s Spirit series of older models cost more than the newer Spirit II series. While there is no compromise in quality with the Spirit II, they are comparatively less expensive than their original counterparts. The Spirit excellently combined innovation and performance to get the best grilling results in a smaller footprint.
It puts out the same 13,000 Btu as the others, for a combined total 52,000 Btu across the four burners. By contrast, the Spirit II E-310 puts out 30,000 Btu and the E-210, 26,500 Btu. When fresh air and the sear on a juicy grilled burger combine, it’s pure warm-weather delight. To help you keep the good vibes (and food) going, we’ve hunted for gas grills that are durable, easy to clean, and simple to control. After cooking burgers, barbecue, and chicken on seven top-rated grills—and researching dozens more—we recommend the Weber Spirit II E-310.
