Note that these tents are strictly meant for car camping; the Base Camp 4 and the Base Camp 6 weigh 16 and 21 pounds, respectively, so you won’t want to carry either one very far. That’s especially true of the 2018 redesigns because you can no longer wear either tent’s storage sack like a backpack—you now have to sling it over one shoulder. That mesh also keeps the tent feeling more airy and cool in hot climates.

My best advice to deal with this is to try and set the tent up with the awning facing the wind. This will allow for a little more intentional airflow and help keep you dry from both the rain and accumulated internal moisture. On that note, I can imagine very few circumstances in which 7 people could comfortably share this tent. Don’t get me wrong, Ozark Trail’s teepee is huge, but unless you plan on stacking people, there simply isn’t enough room.

If you’re looking to go on a proper camping trip…while there are definitely loads of very satisfied customers, I’d suggest you might be taking a risk. If you like to keep things organized, the Dome tents each feature a number of ways to keep your essentials off the floor. The tents include organizer pockets, storage lockers, and some even feature a footlocker. If you’re camping in an area where sundown is past your bedtime, the Dark Rest Technology can help you sleep. The Ozark Trail Dark Rest Tent line is all about comfortable sleep. This series is focused on catering to those campers who prefer to sleep in a fully dark space.

It’s made more cheaply than competitors like Marmot, Nemo, REI Co-op, and others, since it’s a product line developed by Walmart. However, unlike most off brand tents, the Ozark Trail products are above average quality for a fraction of the price. Up until earlier this year, I had never camped before in my life. I just thought it wasn’t for me and the idea of sleeping in a tent wasn’t very appealing. But then I decided to go on a trip, and I haven’t looked back since.

Are you the sort of camper who hates being awoken early by the sun shining through your tent wall? If so, you’re going to love the “Dark Rest” line of Ozark Trail tents. These utilize a special extra-thick fabric with a coating that blocks out sunlight, so it’s near-dark inside the tent even during the brightest hours of the day. Users love how solid and reliable this tent is, and it’s one of the best-priced options in the Ozark Trail line. It’s also surprisingly lightweight despite its large size and offers plenty of storage room for all your gear and gadgets.

I love this as it keeps camping one of the most affordable vacations you can take, even if you need supplies to start. Their tents start at as low as just $29.97 for 3 people and $39 for 4 people tents! Plus there are some super deals on easy set up tents and family size tents too.

Every single one of our camping experiences has been ruined because of the OZARK tent. I would like a response to this please and I do expect some compensation of some kind! The design change I want to comment on concerns the little “laundry room” that protrudes out the back of the tent. The short pole supplied for that protrusion splintered in two places and poked about four small holes in the black fabric of the laundry bubble. Better instructions on how it should be installed would have prevented the splintering, but I would rather have seen the “laundry room” not be an outside protrusion from the back of the tent.

Now you can velcro the tent’s walls to each of the poles and move outside to stake out the guy lines. Once you have all six of the lines out and the stakes secure, you’ll want to move back inside the tent and then extend the ozark tent poles’ bottom portion to their full length. At this point, you can circle back around and tighten all of your stakes and lines and enjoy. Finally, there’s a protected power port that you can run an extension cord through.

But it’s not any more complicated mechanically than most other options on the market. With a little bit of help, the tent should be standing in roughly ten minutes, though it might take a little longer. In ozark trail canopy calmer and more predictable conditions, the teepee is resilient and supported. Below we’ll take a closer look at Ozark Trail Teepee- its faults, features, and what you can do to get the most out of it.

You can sleep two adults + pet or child, or three full-grown adults without it being uncomfortable. Thanks to its dome-shaped roof and 44-inch peak height, you have decent head space for taller users to move around inside. Weight plays an important role when determining whether specific camping gear is right for you or not. As a disclaimer, none of the Ozark Trail tents are going to be light enough for backpacking.
