Medium raised the temperature far too high for me to cook brats on. After one use though, it was easy enough to get use to this and to cook at the lower setting. One of the best parts of this grill is that the grate is removable and easy enough to clean. Supposedly you can even put the grate in the dishwasher, but I haven’t tried it. If you plan on hosting a party, cooking for a big group then you should definitely upgrade to a larger grill.
