My wife and I just put our Schwinn Meridian together a few days ago, after my much superior Raleigh trike was stolen. We found it very difficult to remove some of the bolts for assembly, especially on the rear frame and for the rear fenders. You may need a small 10 mm wrench to loosen them; if you use just a Philips screwdriver, you might end up stripping the bolt head to loosen the tight ones. After we install the rear fenders, we could hear the tires scraping on them. Despite the guaranteed stability of the bike, every rider would like to know that they are equipped to come to a complete halt when need be.
The seat is extra large and rather comfortable with its extra cushioning. For better or for worse, adult tricycles stand out in the crowd, so you might as well choose a color that you love to complete the look. Schwinn adult tricycles are available in a range of colors — some bold, like bright red, and some with a cool vintage appeal, such as mint green and periwinkle blue. There are also more subtle hues, such as silver and black. Not all types of Schwinn tricycles are available in every color, so your color choices may be limited by the number of speeds or wheel size you require. Ride with confidence and style on the Meridian tricycle by Schwinn.
Finally, on the second day after the first 2-mile bike trip, the secondary or rear drive chain slipped off the wheel drive sprocket. That required an almost complete tear down to readjust the connection between the front and Huffy Nel Lusso back frames, and to really make bolts as tight as possible. The first time we fabricated the trike, the bolts weren’t tight enough. I hope that solves that issue but I keep hearing a clicking sound with I pedal the trike.
Not everyone will want a black or white back, and Schwinn acknowledges this by providing 6 colors to choose from. Schwinn offers the Meridian Adult 26” Trike in 6 color choices. Buyers can choose between Black, Black Cherry, Blue, Dark Silver, Green and White colors.
If you need to tackle a range of gradients on your route, this seven-speed tricycle is the ideal option, making lighter work of hills. The spacious cargo basket has a solid base and can fold when not in use. Like the three-speed model, it’s only available huffy cruiser bike in a 26-inch wheel size. Sandwiched between the rear wheels is a rather large cargo basket. Compared to all its features, the basket is the most useful. It can carry a respectable amount of groceries, a few days worth depending on what you purchase.
Tighten these two screws down as hard as you can — this connection point takes a lot of stress, especially on uphill grinds. That’s the bit that lets you coast along without pedalling, and the rear chain will keep moving with the rear wheels. Sam, I have added a photo showing the underside of a Huffy Nel Lusso.
I’m guessing you have a problem with the freewheel part of the front shaft. If it was a normal bike, you might fix it by disassembling and cleaning the pawls in the freewheel, but with this setup it will be somewhat different. I expect the problem will come and go and gradually get worse.
