68010001 Weber Genesis 2 E-610 Outdoor Natural Gas Grill with 6 Stainless Steel Burners and Infinity Ignition Black

Grill chicken on the main grates, sear steaks on the searing station, simmer barbecue sauce on the side burner and keep veggie burgers warm on the tucked-away warming rack. Every component was designed for ease-of-use and a satisfying grilling experience. The Infinity Ignition ensures the burners light easily every time. Smoke-infused food grills evenly and consistently regardless of where it’s placed on the porcelain-enameled cast iron cooking grate. A doored cabinet and six tool hooks provide plenty of storage space for grilling essentials.

With its shiny black enameled exterior with chrome accents, the Weber Genesis II E-210 looks handsome and solidly constructed. The built-in thermometer in the lid is large and easy to read. The propane tank gets mounted on the side, allowing for easier access as well as open storage under the grill. Two stainless steel side tables on either side provide room to place platters and ingredients, and both have three hooks to hang utensils. And if you don’t need both, the left side table folds down easily.

Repeat this procedure for all three of the grates on top of the grill. In step 5, you will be removing the ignition device from the burner using a metal wedge. The ignition device is connected to the grill by a wire, so take special care to not strip or damage the wire while removing the device. Before beginning this guide, make sure that your grill is completely turned off and that you have room to take apart the grill, as this guide could be difficult in a cramped space. Anyway, this is a great looking two burner grill, but it targets a difficult spot in hierarchy as the Spirit II is considerably cheaper for not much of a difference. Weber increased their warranty from 10 years to 12 on the new Genesis.

The scope of the app is narrow compared to Char-Broil’s SmartChef application. It tracks propane levels, burner status and even tells you if the grill is cool enough to cover. Weber’s app just sticks to measuring temperatures of meat, fish and poultry as you cook. Take your grilling to the next level with the Weber Genesis II range from Ace Hardware.

With the updated line, it appears that Weber is attempting to designate the style based on the last number used in the model’s name. Grills that end in the number 5 have a cabinet-style design, while the number 0 designates an open-cart model. For example, the E-330 is cart-style, while the E-335 features closed cabinets. In 2017, Weber updated its popular Genesis models with the introduction of the Genesis II line. What are the differences between these grills, and how might the changes affect your grilling experience?

The Genesis II is powered by stainless steel burners that get more narrow towards the back of the grill. This shape reduces heat in the back, producing more consistent heat across the cooking surface. The burners are lit by a reliable push button infinity ignition and produce around 13,000 BTUs per burner on the weber charcoal grill 3 burner models, and 12,000 BTUs on the 4 burner models. I reviewed a grill in the LX series, which comes with a few more BTUs of heat and some additional bells and whistles. You can find similar features in other grills or buy them as after-market add-ons, but having them built into the model is a nice touch.

For example, you can select the food type and iGrill knows what target temperature you need to hit. You can also choose the level of doneness you’d like and the app adapts accordingly. Weber’s reputation for building durable, practical outdoor grills goes back decades. Now the company wants you to think smart, too, when you think Weber. To that end, the $850 Weber Genesis II E-310 has lots of what you expect from a Weber BBQ, plus a side of app connectivity. Genesis stands behind their product and their customer service is awesome. Weber Genesis II gas grills are covered by a limited manufacturer warranty against defects in material & workmanship for a period of 10-years from the original date of purchase. Warranty excludes normal wear and is limited to the original purchaser. Of course, you don’t need this if you are using natural gas, but it is a huge help and a rarity for most propane grills.
