It is not particularly easy to put together, but in fairness I was doing it myself and the instructions do indicate it’s more like a two person job. The instructions are easy enough to follow, and pretty clearly diagrammed, though there are a few that could be better.
Again, it’s cheap for a reason people. Don’t expect a light up fireplace and full chefs kitchen in here with all the sounds and sparkles. We purchased a little 68$ kitchen that fit perfect on the inside, installed some push-lights on the ceiling and there you go, have some fun with it. We would love to have a fun house to play in outside though. I recommend the little tikes cape cottage playhouse to families to use with age appropriate children. Very easy to put together for one person while my daughter napped. The inside isn’t “finished” like the outside is, but it works well and my daughter loves it so much. She loves that she can open windows and both doors and the two mail slots.
We currently don’t own any Little Tikes toys. Loving the fact that the playhouse is easy to assemble. We own a little tikes kitchen and a couple of other play toys. I bought my granddaughter a play tent and she loves it but its not very sturdy and we are constantly having to put it back up.
I love Little Tikes products because they are sturdy. We have several little tikes products. I like that the windows have working shutters. I’ve had lots of their products over the years. I like the sturdiness of this playhouse. We have a table and chairs that we use all of the time!

The cottage has 2 opening windows and doors which is fantastic. It came flat packed and I could not wait to put it together. The twins’ dad put the playhouse together in less than 20 minutes with just 2 screwdrivers. This was great as there is nothing worse than excited children and a toy that takes ages to assemble. One suggestion would be for the house number to be printed onto the house and not a sticker.
