Greenworks PRO 60V 16″ Cordless Chainsaw Review

At September 25, 2021, the Company operated 177 Petsense stores in 23 states. Our mission is to empower you to find the product you’re looking for and get exactly the information you need to make the right buying decision. Greenworks designed these blades to rotate in opposite directions. They did this so that both blades direct grass straight back into the bag. That’s some decent mulching considering the type of grass we were cutting and the height. The design team also dialed in the acceleration in the lap bars to feel similar to a gas residential zero-turn mower.

Keep the motor and battery pack free from grass, leaves or too much grease. WARNINGIf the battery pack or charger is damaged, replace the battery pack or the charger. The machine can be set to different cutting heights.

It doesn’t hurt when that happens, but it is a bit awkward. Notified via a drop list for a couple of 60v Greenworks tools that they had price drops. After you finish checking out the Greenworks Pro tools part of today’s deal, be sure to stick around and check out the other deals we’ve rounded up for you. Right now you can pick up the Sun Joe 16-inch 12A Tiller/Cultivator for $95, a return to the all-time low we’ve seen this year and just in time to prepare your garden. Of course, that extra weight does have its downsides. The mower is a lot more difficult to lift and transport than its plastic cousins, and you have to expend more energy to push it around, too.

Release the drive levers to close the self-propel system. • Pull the speed control button in the direction of the Turtle Symbol to decrease the speed. • Slide the speed control button in the direction of the Rabbit Symbol to increase the speed. Once the machine has started, you can release the start button .

The mower comes with a single battery and a charger. The battery takes about 45 min. – one hour to fully charge. The wheels on the mower are plastic, but with good tread for digging into grass, especially since the rear wheels are 10 in. I already had perimeter wire installed from a previous review and that took me a couple of hours . Alternately, you can hire a professional to install the wire for you.

Two batteries will yield over an hour of mowing—perfect for medium to larger yards. My backyard is almost an acre and I was able to cut half of it before the battery died. They were underpowered and too restrictive in terms of runtime. Fast forward to 2018 though and cordless options have caught up! The Greenworks Pro’s 21-in steel cutting deck features a 3-in-1 design, allowing you to mulch, rear bag, or side discharge grass clippings. It comes with a bagger for collecting grass clippings, creating a tidy lawn as you mow.

We have a little over an acre of grass available at the shop. To start our testing, we first leveled the entire lawn at 5 inches using a Cub Cadet Pro Z 560. Next, we set the height of the Greenworks 25-inch lawn mower to 3-inches. We consider this a reasonable maintenance cut—at least for Florida in the summer months.

Now we have a final production model to test and we’re excited to see how it’s all come together. Essentially, the Greenworks Pro 60V 18-Inch Chainsaw is the same as the 16-inch model with a larger bar. There’s nothing wrong with that, though, and we like the additional capacity. Greenworks claims the saw has 20% more torque and faster cutting than a 42cc gas saw, and that seems accurate in our experience.
