It was slightly annoying but is the solution to the weird error a lot of reviews are complaining about. I have very limited space, so I chose this treadmill over some others that were probably of higher quality because they did not fit the space. I knew before purchasing that this treadmill displayed the speed and distance in kilometers (km/h) instead of miles . Another reviewer had mentioned the belt “skipping” and I have experienced this as well at around 4mph (6.4 km/h). I’m loving this little treadmill.
It has oil on the belt, but I put more. I got the dark green one and it actually looks black. You can barely tell that it’s green. I give it four stars because it weighs a lot. This is not as easy to move around as it looks. I wish it had grips or a place to put your fingers for easy grabbing.
Please be careful not to splash water on the electrical components and under the walking belt. Unplug the power cord when the treadmill is not in use so as to avoid uncontrolled use by a third party. Do not stand on the walking belt when starting the treadmill. Stand by one side of the treadmill and step on the Costway Folding Treadmill plastic skid-proof foot rail on both sides of the treadmill to prevent falling down. Feels safe, responds easy to speed settings. Good feed on distance, speed etc. It is very easy to set up and works well. I am using it 5 days a week and quite satisfied. Love the size I use it every morning and put it away.
As someone who was used to a professional machine at the gym, I had high expectations. The treadmill was packaged very well to prevent damage during transit. The box had some damage when I received but the treadmill was well protected.
The first few days it worked great and kept us motivated to keep exercising everyday. However recently it’s starting to make a strange noise when we use it on faster speeds. It seems like the belt is touching the edge of the treadmill and causes a screeching noise. For a treadmill at this price I wouldn’t expect it to do that. I will be contacted the seller for help and updating this review once I hear back. The treadmill is easy to assemble and I like that it slides under my couch.
Third, The measures of speed is KILOMETERS not MILES. So if you wonder why you’re going fast, that’s why. This treadmill is compact, sturdy and surprisingly quiet. However, the handles could have been designed to make installation less annoying. No big deal but other than that, this is a great buy and hope it’s durable enough to last awhile.
