At the end of a clean, the CrossWave Cordless Max can be placed on its charging dock and the self-clean button hit to automatically clean the brush. You can then easily lift out the brush and stand it upright for drying. With the brush removed, you can wipe the floor head clean.
As with its sibling, the Max can tackle hard floors as well as rugs and carpets. I was super impressed by the way it miraculously removed all traces of pet hair and ketchup, returning the brush to near new condition after just one cleaning binge. I just wish Bissell could improve the interface between the cleaner and cleaning base because the current method is way too clunky. You can use it on your floors, linoleum, wood, tile, and rugs — wet, dry or yep, even both at the same time for a deeper clean.
It saved a ton of closet space by not having to keep both my vacuum and mop easily accessible. The BISSELL CrossWave Cordless Max does an okay job of handling debris in cracks. The BISSELL CrossWave Cordless Max’s performance on low-pile carpet is poor. It has a hard time with both fine debris like baking soda and larger material like sand on this surface type. We have a large area of tiled floor and a mastiff who sheds.

To see if the Bissell CrossWave Cordless Max All-in-One Wet-Dry Vacuum Cleaner and Mop ($399.99) is an effective two-in-one product that actually gets the cleaning job done. This is one pro that I had on the original review, but it is worth mentioning again.
We think that this multi-surface cleaner performs very well on low-pile carpets and rugs. It manages to remove an impressive amount of debris while leaving your floors looking practically brand new. Though impressive on low-pile carpets and rugs, we didn’t find that it did an incredible job on high-pile rugs. This is understandable, as these rugs ideally need to be taken to the dry cleaners. With the touch of a button, you can seamlessly switch from cleaning hard floors to vacuuming and refreshing your area rugs, all with one machine.
I have tried everything I can think of to have the Crosswave not leave a puddle of dirty water when I stop using it or go to move it but it always does. If I’m going to clean up puddles might as bissell crosswave cordless well use a regular mop.
